It had a very basic station and platform and didn't fit in to the new area at all. Not the reason it was removed but it is clear they weren't to bothered about either Thunderlooper or the New Beast being there because they didn't even attempt to retheme them.
I think that's because by 1994 they knew the Thunderlooper was on borrowed time and they had the intention to remove The Beast in the very near future.
If You could bring back one past ride?

I would bring back the astro dancer with the wheel still in the middle. It was my favourite ride in 93 to 96. I Felt it wasn't the same ride after the wheel was removed. It's still my fav Alton Towers flat ride since I first went in 1993.

Corkscrew @ FL is not a ride it is a giant headache. the bars have gone solid with age and feel like bricks. if you are desperate however take paracetamol with youStelios7 wrote:You can still ride it kinda' a ride with a similar layout is the Corkscrew at Flamingo Land.Air Jake wrote: Corkscrew because I never rode it.

It isn't that bad. In fact, the Corkscrew at Flamingo Land is smoother than the one that was at Alton Towers. It just looks rusty and the station smells of oil. :P

Thunder looper for me great ride lots of fun but would want them to move blade as my kids love this
Think people are putting corkscrew down for pure nostalgia only, as really it had past it's days when it was removed even very uncomfortable to ride
