Bring back Toyland Tours!
Ah it was a good ride, always a delight and very much part of what made time spent at Alton Towers fun. We always came out singing it.... rather badly. But I do miss those swan boats because of those magical adverts. Spending a lazy afternoon on one just reclining and looking out over the grounds was a highlight for me.
But yes, Toyland Tours, sorely missed.
Worst non coaster ride closure this decade...

Definalty Toy Land Tours for me too. A great ride that had character and a real fun element for all of the family. Also it was great if you went to what was then McDonalds as you wouldn't feel sick on it after lunch. Always a plus point.
It is missed by me and the music is also missed as I loved that. I can remember when it used to play in the monorail on the way into the park and me humming along to it, really got me in the mood for a great day at Alton Towers.
Should never have closed in my personal opinion.
My gut reaction was Boneshaker, due to it's rather unique nature... while Dynamo was a excellent ride, it wasn't exactly the most unique spin and spew experiance in the wrold.
However when the list appeared I had to vote Toyland Tours, because while the ride closed at the right time, its replacement was so rediculously underwhelming. I realised today looking at the plans today that four Toyland Tours scenes were swallowed up by the black corridor that is the nut room... such an amazing waste of potential.
i agree.its a waste of space [-X

I have to say Dynamo, it was a close call with Bone Shaker (well Energizer the original) It used to be amazing. Dynamo tho was class, I realy enjoy spining rides but Dynamo had something special, prob the forces you got off the ride. It looked good placed at the top of Forbbiden Valley.

I never went on them, but I miss the Swan boats on the lake.
I'm not a fan of pirate theming because it is in so many parks and the Swans gliding across the lake just represented that class that set AT apart from other parks for me.
I never went on Toyland Tours either so I can't really comment, but that seems to be the most popular ride.
I went on the 3D cinema and boneshaker (as energizer, 1998) and can't say I miss them at all. The 3D cinema could be good as an imax type experience but all it was was things nearly hitting you in the face. It was good as a kid, but nothing special in hindsight. Energizer was good, but from what I've heard was toned down significantly for Ug Land and has possibly made way for new flats in SW6' area?

Well I don't remember the Park Railway and from what I've read it ended its days as a very short and fairly useless item, but it seems a shame that Alton Towers doesn't have a proper park railway - the great thing about the Efteling in Holland is its real steam engines and perimeter railway, the kids (and big kids) absolutely love that, and it quickly gets you from A to B or C.

I have gone with the Swan boats, although they have been finally, replaced with a fantastic new attraction.
I think Toyland Tours gets a lot of sympathy, due to the fact it was replaced with a poorer ride. Had CATCF been a lot better, the boat ride having more colour and life to it, I wonder if it would affect how people vote.
I still think the glass elevator is a good idea, although they both need a good clean as they are starting to show their age, and do not help deliver a excellent experience.

Bone Shaker, no doubt. It was always one of my favourite rides on park. Though, I never got to ride Dynamo or Rodeo (Chessington) so I'd like to see that come back too.
It would be nice to see Toyland Tours again as well I suppose, but at least that got replaced (albeit with a very average ride).

The obvious choice to me would be The Swans…BUT Thinking about it at the time there was uproar and rightly so, this attraction that was part of the character of the theme park for many years was being ripped out to be replaced by a pay to play attraction more suited to seaside resorts.
Looking back though and seeing what we have now and how the parks image has changed since Merlin took over I think it was probably the right choice.
I’m going for Bone Shaker or energizer as I still call it. That ride offered some serious stomach churns that you rarely get at towers these days.

The worst ride for me was the those chargeable boats they had last season before Mutiny Bay. My god, what a joke they were.
I agree i miss the swans never went on them but did add a touch of class.
