Oblivions drop is 20m (60foot) - Not sure on how deep the hole is, I am guessing about 10m.

No Oblivions drop is 180ft. However 65ft of that is above the ground. So that makes the hole about 115ft deep. According to rcdb.

Yeah i thought it was a bit strange so looked it up to check. Its an easy mistake to make Kryn because all the documentary's on Oblivion perceive Oblivion's drop to be 60ft i don't know why though. :?

I remember me once watching a doccumentury on oblivion, saying about it being 60 ft. Followed by a bit about Top Thrill Dragster, which made Oblivion sound tiny!

Actually no.

Instead of starting a whole new topic for something so arbitrary, I decided to post my question in this topic as they are kind of related.

Thx.

Sorry it just seemed a bit random.
There is a photo of Nemesis's station under construction here with a bit of an idea of what that area used to look like.http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/history/co ... emesis.htm
Don't know if that helps.

Yeah, I've already had a look around the Nemesis construction page, but I wondered if there were any photo's prior to any construction work began on the site.

As it mention's on the page though, this was 1993 and therefore public photo's may be hard to come by :)

Yeah. There might be a picture somewhere on the net. But the likely hood of finding a picture like that is not very high.

The best I've seen is over on ATA of very early construction.

In regards to Blivvy, the hole is deep!

I think that the actual "vertical" section of Oblivion is 60 ft. It's a very clever illusion making you think it's vertical for much more than it is.

However, I do struggle to believe that it's actually 180 ft in total. That's a hell of a long way down and to pull out of in such a short space. However, it must be.

Here's the drop off Griffon's 200 ft lift hill:

Also, if you look at G5 (Oblivion's mirrored clone), you get some idea of the true scale of the ride. G5 looks much, much, much bigger than Oblivion:

Oh, and for pics of the area of Nemesis before it was built, look at photos of Thunders Looper and The New Beast - search for those and you'll come across some which also have the Nemesis area.
If you\'ve got a problem, stuff a worm in it!
