RCDB are reporting that this attraction will be called "Ring Racer".
Nurburgring
The opening date says 6/11/2009. However they could be using the american MM/DD/YY format
So it either opens one month before the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, or in November.

Well Rcdb are an american website, aren't they?
So i'd be expecting it to open for the nurburgring grand prix. It'll surely bring in the punters for them
this is just another great step for motorsport, and formula 1 is becoming a hugely popular sport now.
I can't wait to see this thing in action, but you won't find me riding it anytime soon. Rita is fast enough for me, thank you.
I suppose on the upside its not as fast as Dodonpa in accelleration... actually it might be around the same but i cant be arsed to work it out mathematically I don't think it is though!
^^ Chris ^^
Dodonpa gets to 106mph in 1.8secs this will get to 134.8mph in 2.5 I think it will hit the 106 in the same time if not a little faster.
Myself and Ste will hopefully be riding this on our Germany trip next year we have added it to our itinerary as it's only an hour or so from Phantasialand.

I don't really think it'll do 'loads' for the car/F1 industry. There will be something about it when F1 returns to the Nurburgring next year, but that'll be it. Won't really do much for the coaster industry, nor will it get much custom on non-major events.

I really don't know what to think of this. It seems to be odd with X-Car cars launching at that speed. It's just by what I think all I think it will be is a launch and then back to the station? I really don't know
I can't remember from where I heard this, but I believe this project is now several months behind schedule.
Not really. It may be fast, but the physical construction is fairly straight forward, I would have thought? It doesn't go up high, nor do I believe there is a lot of landscaping to do. Still, it will be amazing to see the launch!
