The new final scene in the Haunted Mansion, replacing the classic scene where a ghost appears to be sitting next to you in your carriage.

Absolute jawdropping.

I've got to say I was amazed when I first saw this... absolutely stunning work! The new interactive queue for the Haunted Mansion also looks quite fun.

2012 is shaping up to be a great year with all these new interactive queues, the Fantasyland Expansion (The Little Mermaid ride anamatronics videos look pretty spectacular), Star Tours 2 later this year, a new pool for Saratoga Springs, Hyperion Whard replacing Pleasure Island and the continual refurbishment and additions being made (particularly to the Magic Kingdom). Maybe Alton could learn from some of these additions, given they are now charging 'Disney prices'.

WOW that new mirror effect is stunning

and if the dwarfs coaster is anything like the one in europa park then it will also be amazing

BUMPITY BUMP

InsideTheMagic's Youtube uploaded a video involving the Fantasyland expansion models/concept art with a video of the Seven Dwarves' Mine Train at D23 Expo!

Their website has more coverage here too.

Orpan Rocker 2.

Anyway, is there some big Apple style presentation on Sunday? Think they'll announce anything for Paris, Ratatouille details? Opening date? Star Tours 2?

Looking forward to this development. It's actually nice to see a new coaster being built at Magic Kingdom again. From the sounds of it, it looks like it's going to be extremely fun indeed!

As posted by Mike in TT Chat...

Electrical fire, it seems, thus far affecting Astro Orbiter and Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Wasn't sure where to post this...
ScreamScape wrote:General Resort News - (2/7/12) Screamscape insiders tell us that training classes are being scheduled for Cast Members at the end of the month for an ‘update’ on a new FastPass procedure. It is thought that this may be the new official policy about enforcing the end time on the Fastpass ticket windows. The rumor going around the CMs is that the new official FastPass window policy may allow for guests to arrive up to 5 minutes early… and only up to 15 minutes late. More as this develops.

I hope not, not enforcing end-times makes for a far more relaxing experience, rather than forcing you to rush back to where you came from to go on the ride.

Yeah but the point of the system is to distribute visitors to each attraction more evenly throughout the day, ensuring lower and more consistent queuetimes.

If they don't enforce the time slots, then what's the point of them at all?

This expansion is really starting to come together now, I am honestly more excited about this than any other project currently in the works  :P

Anyway, finally Disney have released a little sneak-peek inside the area in the form of a video of progress so far on the 'Be our guest restaurant'

Great piece here by The Daily Mail (Yes, I know, The Daily Mail!) regarding the construction of Space Mountain -  never seen some of these photos before! Facinating stuff!

Brilliant! Never seen these photos before. Just goes to show how advanced the coaster actually was back in the day. It's still one of my favourite Disney attractions. A bit rough around the edges, but fun. It was also my first enclosed coaster and I still love riding it and seeing the building light up with the star machines and planets.

Hi guys, a new awesome vid has been posted showing how they make the cars. It's only a few minutes long and includes so footage on on ride POV inside the mine and out. It is clear that this has mainly been tested after the park has shut as it's mostly dark.
Worth a watch! :)
