Sorry, I wasn't stating it was a megalite, just that it's Intamin's megalite rival. I love how everyone else describes it as a megalite and I'm the one that gets picked-on for it! :P
Dan is senior Priest of the religion of Mack, stop now whilst your still alive..

:D

I'm glad the Mack system is getting some sales now as its really good

To be fair, the layout of this is mega-lite-y.
Just a bit! They even copied Intamin with the overly excessive crest to the lift hill.

No actually it wasn't but reading it back made me chuckle.

Edit:
They sure do Dan. I did some research on this ride while righting my trip report for Phantasialand as I believe it’s from the same people that made River Quest. If I remember correctly the reason this rapids is a full out water ride is because you're already wearing swimsuits as part of the waterpark so the designers were allowed to go nuts.

Hafema are nuts at the best of times though! I mean come on, whoever had the idea of placing raids boats in a metal boxs, sending them skywards, then letting them come down drops like this is a real genius and nutter at the same time :P

True but River Quest is nuts in the very different way of just being completely absurd. I mean who else builds a rapids (concrete channel and all) on the top of a 4 or 5 storey building and finishing with a near vertical waterfall! Enterland’s rapids is slightly more sane but probably allot wetter due to the number of overhanging waterfalls.

Bobbejaanlands is also Hafema but the most ridiculous section was totally bypassed as it was too complicated to run...

Yes it is and according to the archive section of Google maps it's been there since 2010 so it's probably already a part of the water park and going to become part of the theme park. It's a good piece of theme work as I genuinely thought it was an old abandoned building until the most recent picture.

Edit:

Picture of the ride while it was still being built (and operating):

Is it a vertical lift inside the building? Confusing that in that photo, it seems to be painted the same colour as the sky!

This is turning out to be quite a nice little park. :)

That big boat ride is Jungle Splash. I could only find this POV for it (you may need to turn the volume down :P ) but this off-ride video shows you most of it. Click here and you'll see that the boat does indeed sits on a lift and gets pulled up to the top before being pushed forward down the drop. It looks pretty good. :)

But it seems like they have another smaller flume ride as well. It's called Dragon River:

2012 will see a another new attraction in the park. "Dragon River", a themed family flume ride by Hafema.

Etnaland latest attraction is thought for those how want to share a new adventure with the whole family. Is with this object in mind that the “Dragon River”, a family flume ride, has been installed in co-operation with Hafema from Germany.

The 300 meters ride, themed by the Spanish Arte Insitu, has two six meters drops.

So they have two flumes, rapids, a Mack mega, an S&S mine train, a stand-up skyride... cage.... thing. :P What else is there?

Well if we assume that this theme park is going to be more than just two roller coasters, the sky cage and possibly include the flumes and rapids ride I guess there will be several flat rides and other attractions that haven't yet been announced. Remember the Zamperla Disco Sam pointed out.

Although I hope at least the rapids remains a part of the water park. For a ride that wet I'd want to be in swimwear.

Hello everyone!

I have made a recreation of The Storm to give everyone an idea of the final outcome for the ride.

Enjoy
