Hello TowersTimes,

The launch of The Smiler is nearly upon us and during this period in the run up to the official opening lots of information is going to be released to the media and is therefore likely to be discussed on TowersTimes Forum.

We are aware that many of our members would like to keep certain details of the ride a secret until their first ride. whilst we do not believe the ride has any major secrets left to reveal we are happy to assist in this and have introduced a few simple guidelines and a new feature to help this as much as possible.

Firstly, our new feature. Spoiler Tags:

If you are going to post what could be defined as a major 'spoiler' for the ride (see below for clarification) then please use these.

Hover over this text for an example. If using a touchscreen device then simply tap on it.

Here is how you do it:

TowersTimes Definition of Spoilers
We class a spoiler as anything that is not publicly visible on the ride. This includes the entire indoor section prior to the first lift as well as the interior of the station and indoor section of queueline.

1) The Marketing and Speculation topics are a spoiler zone. You do not need to use spoiler tags in these topics. Readers should be aware of this and read at their own discretion.

2) The Construction/General and Other Discussion topics will continue as they are at the moment. However if posting anything which falls under the 'TowersTimes Definition of Spoilers' then please use the spoiler tags as appropriate. If your spoiler is in the form of an image then please link this instead of using the IMG tags.

3) TowersTimes updates will carry a spoiler warning where appropriate. This includes news posted to our homepage as well as updates in the 'The Smiler Updates' forum.

We understand this may not be perfect but no system ever is. We do not wish to disturb the flow of conversation for the vast majority with splitting into several topics when ultimately there is no major secrets of the ride left to reveal.

Feel free to contact either myself or another team member if you have any further questions.

Great idea, especially with the volume of new readers TTF might get prior to visiting the park once the marketing machine gets turned up a notch. Just noticed TTF appears before the official page on a google search lol

Heres my first attempt....
