Shent and myself are planning a weekend away in june / july (not sure on dates yet) the idea of it all is to spend Friday and Saturday night camping then parks or whatever Saturday and Sunday day, but at the moment we are deciding between 2 different places, we were thinking either Thope and Chessington OR Blackpool.

This site is based near staines and we personally have stayed there before. The tents have their own area on the site and are close to the toilets. Everything is very clean and the site wardens are welcoming, even though the site is near a main road you honestly cant tell. there is a nearby pub and local supermarket and at night you can sit outside and watch the aeroplanes overhead.

As for Blackpool we are still looking at ssites for there, as we have only stayed in B&Bs there before (but that is always an option) i know many of you may consider it as a **** hole, but its alot different from Thorpe and Chessington and offers more for evening entertainment, plus you can see the sea!
Tickets for the pleasure beach are approx £25 (online)
We just thought camping would be more fun than sitting around in a hotel all night.
