2006/7 Alton Towers "Casino" hotel!

Foundations are being laid down for another hotel in the resort. Just next to the Alton Towers hotel, the casino is being marked out. It is said to be completed by winter 2006

Hmm....

Where is 'next to the Alton Towers hotel'? I'm presuming you mean to the big field on the left, as the right is taken up by Splash Landings. I should be on park on tuesday so i'll have a look.

This rumour ahs been circulating since as long as i can remember! So it is very possible. More info would be good!

Interesting, but I had a wander around the hotels last week and saw nothing going on? I hope this is true as the casino theme has a lot of potential. I'll have a look when I go tomorrow. I feel it could be a bit cramped with three hotel squashed together. What would be good would be to have an entertainment complex in between the hotels. E.g cinemas, bars, restaurants etc. Then AT really could be classed as a resort!

i would of thought with the casino plan that at would wait till the goverments new gambling/ casino laws are passed and come into force

alton towers main site? no way. if construction hasnt even began it may only be a idea. so they wouldnt put anything onthe main site yet!

Well we have not heard anything about this between staff, alton towers village has been mentioned but no casino.

What happened to that wooden rita girl telling us the height for riders ey 2006= Planning Worker, I still want some evidence you are genuine. In this case "Guilty before proven innocent".

Well... this all seems to be out of the hat. Here is a new member wih 2 post's, and all of a sudden he's confirming a new Hotel

Anyone can type this, I again want some evidence.

When I was staying at Splash Landings last week to ride Rita (which I must say was disapointing) I over heard to staff talking about foundtions are being set for a Casino Hotel...

I think this is what is going on I very much doubt where going to see a hotel yet theay carnt even fill the ones theay have got.

Don't you think they would have to clear the land first and dig holes to put foundations in and they would have to fence off the area.

I have seen this happen so many times before so I am not believing a word of it un less there is some better proof, But I guess that most of the lyres set there age to an adult and come up with better stories.

Mmmmm i not to shure, weve herd about this for a while now and then all went dead. Like Ant, said they cant even fill the ones they have got as you always see offers etc. I think yes in time to come when the park has even more to offer we will see a new hotel but i dont know about just now.

This post was made by Big blade40 in the other topic who works at the hotels and it says about the new dune buggies arriving in the next couple of weeks so im sure it will be this.

I have been on site today and there are no foundations been laid for any "new Casino Hotel". its rubbish

The rage buggies are also preparing to move on site anyway, as stated
