Foundations are being laid down for another hotel in the resort. Just next to the Alton Towers hotel, the casino is being marked out. It is said to be completed by winter 2006 :D
When you say confirmed, by who?, nothing is officially confirmed until an Official Announcment by AT, until then it is just another rumour. Plans for a third casino hotel have been around since the first ATH was built in 1996, but the economics have not been right for AT to finance the project.

I've removed the "Confirmed" part of the topic title, as it's obviously not confirmed.

Sorry guys, but it's best not to put confirmed until some kind of PR emerges from AT themselves.

I dobt they would install a brand new hotel 3 YEARS after their last one! There is 7 years between the two hotels at the moment, and I think tausausds will wait until chessingtons hotel/safari has been built before they think about having any more hotels at Alton.

Instead of another I would like to see the idea of a " Alton Towers Village " with cinemas, entertainment, off-park attractions, shops and many more things to fit along side these " clay shooty things " and these " go carts " . . . but I think they will concentrate more on the future of the park at the moment rather than off park, with the blackhole site to fill, cred st to sort, merry england!

Just hope that april fool doesnt come true with villas and holiday homes

I would love to see something like what disney land have, them small cabin places to sleep in. That way more people would be able to stay as the hotels are quite pricey and not every one can afford them. It would be a self catering type thing and i would place it on that field next to the ATH. Also the idea of having bowling and cinemas for the people staying on site to use when the parks closed would be cool, down town Alton or something :D

I'd love a travelodge on site where you can just pay something like £50.00 for a night and perhaps buy a park package with tickets for £150.00.

My family might go then!
Argh! REVISION

Thing is though i think with these packages that the hotels do they should knock some off for annual pass holders as its just not worth paying for tickets when you already have access to the park. I also think that if we do get a casino hotel they will wait for the government to pass this thingy till they start any construction :D

Couldnt you just get a room only rate where you pay for the room and not a package?
When I was staying at Splash Landings last week to ride Rita (which I must say was disapointing) I over heard to staff talking about foundtions are being set for a Casino Hotel...
Perhaps they meant in a metaphorical sense rather than physical. i.e. talks are starting rather than actual building. Besides who says the staff were actually taking about AT - perhaps you overheard them talking about a completely different place?

Jimbo, Yer i surpose you could just buy a room but what i mean is all the good offers ive seen always include park entery, what im on about is having a package that has benefits for people with an annual pass if you get what i mean. :D

O right yeah, i get you. I want to get an annual pass but im not sure. I suppose it would be cool. Could you get one if you just turn up to a theme park? Like order it in the morning and then collect at the end of the day.
Williscroft

Yer you can, just go to the Annual pass office and they will do it there and then for you :D

cool, thanks. I might do it next time i go.

Im not too sure what to make of a new casino hotel. I think itll be a good idea because thinking about it they have:

SL- a hotel for younger kids
ATH - A hotel for the older kids with the newly added attractions (am i wrong about that :? )

If they add a casino they could attract an adult audience so they turn into a resort with hotels that suit everybodys needs.

Do you think that it will happen? Maybe not now, but some time in the future.

not sure if i like the ide of a casino, shops or bowling alleys, im not biased, im a big poker player so i'm often in casinos but i wouldny want AT to turn into 'Butlins' or for those more northern, 'Haggerston Castle'

mate, next time don't say something happening with your only evidence hearing staff say it.
Only Senior Staff would know of Hotels being built until stuff starts being built and when AT built Splash Landings they advertised NEW Hotel for Next Year, I don't know if the original did though its likely.

When AT release a press statement or a trusted staff member says its happening, thats when its definitely coming. 13 year olds (like me) don't 'confirm' this, as you don't work there, your not a manager, a staff member or anything like that. And people in hotels won't say currently classified right information in front of the general public.

If you wanna speculate 'confirmed' information then go say crap somewhere else.
If you want to say the truth and not bullsh*t then welcome to TTF.

The casino hotel is in the pipeline. It has been since the first hotel. It is very likely to happen in the future. Whether this is the near or far future is yet to be seen!
