I don't think the law would allow it, since its potentially advertising gambling to a young audience.
As far as I'm aware the law in the UK basically says you must not entice underage gamblers in any way.

Have you been in the arcade at splash landing hotel recently! .By the time my son and I left he was addicted to the 10p Machines and spent a small fortune to boot.no I think a separate Building or extension to the existing complex would still be legal,I am remortgaging our house as we speak.

Just after Splash opened there was some talk about a casino type hotel aimed at the adult end of the market. I don’t remember much about it, but it was defiantly on the cards at one point in time.

The splash landing arcade isn't a highly visible place. A casino would very likely be the case. I don't mind them having arcades and casinos as such. But merlin will make a big thing out of it! I won't want the AT resort to become a Blackpool reasort!Hibscasual wrote: Again ' have you been in the arcade at splash landing. They started them early there.

A fair point . But if done properly it would add a touch of class' the corporate side of AT cant lose . The money could be invested back into the complex ' much needed in my opinion.AT will never be a (kiss me Quick) resost sleep easy.

I cant see it working as 90% of guests are families and no under 18 will be allowed inside. Also guests pay enough for food, drink, theme park tickets, petrol, parking&staying over. I doubt they would want to waste money even more during this second recession. Have they got a over 18 fruit machine section there? They could add them casino game machines you get in bookies.

They definately need an over 18 machine area as something for adults instead of being solely based on families. They did used to have two £70 machines in the bar at splash landings and they need to get them back and yes maybe even some £500 machines or likewise that you do see in casinos. Even if this was just a small section, the tiny useless arcade in alton towers hotel would be perfect for this

I use to have a quick quid on the over 18 machines in the parks but I guess theses were removed cause staff had to watch the area to make sure no one under 18 played them. Does the pub still have over 18 machines?
