From now on, I think it's best that we know as little as possible about Sub-Terra. Due to the opening being so close, surely nothing will beat going on the attraction while pretty much knowing nothing about it? The element of surprise is crucial to this experience! :D I really hope this blows me away.

Can't wait!

Will there be a spoiler topic similar to the launch of TH13TEEN? I'm sure there are a few people who won't be going on opening weekend that would still want to see spoiler free photos of the exterior/queue-line.

ECC members should be warned... the latest issue of FIRST DROP includes some revealing pictures and description of what happens on the ride (so be careful when looking through it if you don't want the ride to be spoiled).

Any chance we could get a copy of that posted under some spoiler tags...?

Do spoiler tags works on here any more?

Maybe it's time for a Thirteen-style "Spoiler topic" and "No-Spoiler topic".

As we know the ride is a drop tower(s).  With regards to other drop towers that have opened in the past, e.g. dungeons.  Were there any teething problems, or are drop towers pretty simplistic?  I cannot remember a recent ride at Alton that hasn't experienced significant teething problems, it would be nice to feel confident that it wont break down in the opening week.

Hmm Droppers ain't as complicated as coasters and if it is standard any design faults should have been ironed out

Th13teen ran fantastic for the first 2 weeks
No problems with and of the minor attractions built in 2009, 2008 and 2007

So not sure where the idea that the opening week is particularly cursed comes from. However the drop towers are not over-complicated but they are only one small part of the whole ride.

I went to ride th13teen the opening week and was issued with a return ticket as it kept breaking down.  I cannot speak for the smaller attractions but i definitely remember trouble with air, as they closed the ride and issued me with tickets for fastrak later in the day.  And although I got to ride Hex in the opening week, it had closed later on in the day when I came to re-ride.  Maybe it was just my experience and I was just unlucky.
