My brother and my dad are on the back of the ORP sleeve (front row) so I'm sure they'll be able to ride
That picture isnt new. Its in fact very old. They used it in the very eary marketing.

I'm both surprised and delighted that their marketing is very enthusiast oriented. So far I've not seen much targeted at your average-joe other than the promo poster and the whole Jack Osbourne deal.
That said, they have been very clever with how they've executed it. The Phalanx Control marketing teases the public and actually makes them want to look for more info on the original Nemesis story, which I think is much more memorable and engaging than handing it to them on a plate and saying "This is what Sub-Terra is all about".
At least I hope that's the effect it's having.

I wasn't referring to the picture Dave. I was referring to the 1994 Riders wanted thing under it... :PBig Dave wrote: That picture isnt new. Its in fact very old. They used it in the very eary marketing.

Well that's me out of the question, for a start I was only 1 at the time and I didn't even take my first ride till 2006! Being under 1.4 till the age of 13 really does suck, especially when my 9 year old brother got to ride it at the same time
Anyway, great campaign, I really do love the direction they are going with this ride! It's a fa better build up than that of Th13teen! Keep up the good work Towers

good point i might give it a go i would have been 9/10 in 1994 so i might get away with it :sus:Tom G wrote: Obviously your age will be relevant. If you lie, and you were actually four years old in 1994, then it's obvious you wouldn't be of the required height at that time.
Well Im 26 nearly 27 and I was only 9 when Nemesis was opened. So Im sorry but pretty much half of the people on here will not be able to go to this preview as you would have had to be at least 10 to be able to ride.

Half the people here will probably be in school on the days that the previews are held?Big Dave wrote: Well Im 26 nearly 27 and I was only 9 when Nemesis was opened. That'll backfire badly if it turns out to be rubbish and received worse by enthusiasts than the general public, like Th13teen arguably was.Mi-Nigle wrote: I'm both surprised and delighted that their marketing is very enthusiast oriented. Unfortunately some of us were born pre-Nemesis, but are indeed currently in school .
Nevertheless, I do love this marketing, it is great. As Sam says, though, it is kinda setting itself up for a bit of a fail if the enthusiasts give it the thumbs down.
Having said that, I definitely get the feeling that a minority will never get over the fact that the ride system itself is four Extremis towers, regardless of how stunning everything else is (if indeed it is).

I was 6 in 1994 - So didn't have the opportunity to ride that year <sadface>
...But I did ride the Tower of Terror at Disney World that very year! Not bad for a 6 year old eh?

I was only 3 when nemesis opened but can barely remember myself in a pushchair waiting for my dad to come off the ride!

I'm very surprised all of the equality people (Esther Rantzen) would allow this I mean, is this really segre(GAY)tion (sorry couldn't resist it is TTF) and discrimination towards any one who was not physicaly able to ride Nemmie back in 1994? Albiet too young, small or just plain unlucky... I'm really angry now but least we know for definite that this is not marketed towards any one of about age 10 etc..

I think what he was trying to say was:
"I am jolly excited for this stupendous attraction at the UK's biggest Theme Park Resort!"
..reading between the lines and all that...! :P
