When the original application for SW8 was approved there were a number of conditions attached, with one of them (Condition 4) stipulating that the Resort must submit details of drainage works prior to commencing the development - this was fulfilled last year when the document below was submitted. As far as I'm aware this would have also been indicative of any bodies of water, and none are shown on this plan, nor on any of the other plans relating to SW8, so I do not believe that we'll see a lot, if any water around the ride.scruffy_ wrote:i'm predicting a lot of water around/under this ride!
If they were planning on having water features, would they have to be on the plans? or does it come under theming?

A new SW8 construction update has been posted to the TowersTimes Facebook page.
The site has changed dramatically since opening weekend with more metalwork being installed in preparation for the rollercoasters foundations along with more concrete pouring being done.
A large hole is also developing around where the turntable used to be for The Flume.

Although it's a little tricky to figure out it's exact location, it looks like it could potentially be the foundation for the theming feature in 'Theming Envelope 2' (rumoured to be a large Wicker Man statue thing) on the following plan.xylyx wrote:This was my view over the site yesterday I was intrigued to see they'd filled the hole that was shown on TPWW's construction update as that's a hefty foundation, but for what?

Seems like they are getting great weather for the major foundations of the ride - which shouldn't lead to issues later on with soft concrete. (Example= Smiler!)

Well I think the sign is for the worker on-site as the sign is in German too. The only non-English sign in the park. This is probably to avoid what happened with the demolished flume/wickerman photos. They still let me take photos through the window and SW8 is attracting alot of attention now. The sign was probably put in before the windows and they have not took the sign down since.
