Silly name with an horrendous price tag to match. However, I am weirdly liking the colour scheme.

Guys, we have the confirmation, this is more than just Pilgrims Plunge.

Image

Here, we can see some supports rising back skywards after the main drop from the lift, so lets see what we get!

Image

This image better shows the bottom of what is presumably the main drop, here we can see a smaller concrete trough compared to the standard splash pool of newer water rides. This combined with the supports rising back up tells me the splash here will only be a small one, something along the lines of Atlantica's initial touch down at Europa Park.

On-wards and upwards towards the 20million Euro Budget from here :)

I really do look forward to seeing this develop!

Just thinking the advert/Teaser showed Drag boats and most of them flip over and such so i was thinking this could be based of a boat race going wrong and having inversions and large splash downs,
and I assume the boat will be themed as a dragboat all with differnt liverys/Sponsers.
Edit: Punctation

This is bizarre. As well as being incredibly expensive, garish and somehow incorporating multiple splashdowns, one of Sam93's photos above makes it looks in the middle of nowhere! So, could we expect to see an entire new area created with it? Certainly a lot needs to be done to disguise some of the construction site, and it would go some way to explaining where €20 million is going.

Its not in the middle of nowhere, its close to Ispeed a and the big Waterski See outside the Park. I can imagine u have a fantastic view from the Ride to ispeed and over the lake.

Did we not move on from straight drops like that when Arrow went west?

I believe the idea is to give it an "old school" feel like the old wooden water chutes.

I think the it's to take advantage of the absurd height for a water ride and the feeling of tension about the splashdown.

Reminds me of this bit from Magic Mountain's Revolution:

Here is an image from the Coaster Community forums in Italy, showing that this ride may have quite a substantial coaster section. Not sure whether this is in any way official, or fan made.

It is Fan Made, but the actually Pictures from the Area show that this Kind of Track is really possible.

Confirmation that this will have quite a bit more than just one drop...

If you can't make a head or tail out of that, then here's a handy annotated version:

Looks like a second splashdown is very likely now! It does seem more exciting now, but I'm still not keen on the colour scheme or the name...

Well it certainly looks... Mack :P

There does seem to be rather an excessive amount of kickers on that MCBR (If that's what you want to call it :P ) too.

I have to say though, having now seen the track itself I've grown rather fond of the colour scheme :)

Mack should file a lawsuit...
DiogoJ42

Then Intamin could just counter-sue over Mack stealing their track design for Blue Fire...
