Eejanaika is also meant to be horribly rough and painful to ride...

Was reading about the 4D rumour the other day. Could be an interesting move to compete directly against Raptor and Gardaland, but with the addition of spinning cars. But as you say, it is baseless at the moment, I would certainly like to see it happen though. At the moment it's a hell of a trek to ride one of these coasters, which seem to be love/hate thing, but I'd certainly love to try one.

Also, I had no idea Eejanika was so expensive! Doesn't make the €20m being quoted seem that substantial.

After riding X at Magic Mountain I wouldn't make a special journey for one of these rides. They are rough. Quite unique and amazing in parts, but also rough and almost unbearable in others. I've been to Magic Mountain three times and on all visits, could only manage X once due to the ride experience (and terrible throughputs).
But thrown in with Katun, iSpeed and Raptor down the road, I guess there would be no harm having one in Europe.

This is the best news I could possibly hope for. X2 at Magic Mountain is one of my favourite rides of all time. The intensity and physical sensations are simply astonishing, more intense than any coaster I've been on in my life. Without the horrible roughness in parts that Dylan mentioned, and crap throughputs, it'd EASILY be my favourite coaster in the world.

Like everyone else said, confused about how this will be the biggest in the world on a modest budget. Maybe S&S have brought down the price? I'd love an X2/Eejanika layout but even bigger, as presumably S&S will have sorted out some of the roughness problems by now. By "biggest" they could mean in terms of area size (X2/Eejanika are very compact in land size), resulting in a much lower sprawling layout which would make it cheaper.

In other words... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

But as both 4D's built are horribly rough, so it would seem. Why take a chance. S&S are just not worth it.

S&S are currently building a third 4D at "China Dinosaurs Park" due to open in October at 10ft taller than Eejanaika. It's been half a decade since the last one was built, so S&S must be pretty confident. The fact they've had two orders means I reckon they've substantially changed the ride and showed these two parks that they can get it right this time. :)

Also the last two were built by Arrow (Eejanaika being built as the companys merged). Arrow where hardly known for amazing tracking. Just look at the sadly defunct Eagles Fortress which kept ripping itself out of the ground. S&S might have had time to work on the design.

Testing. Throughputs could be impressive for what it is!

Actually, I think this coaster does look very impressive for what it is; and the throughput looks impressive as seen in that testing video. Surprisingly, I think the coaster does not look that "cheap", and instead looks like a solid family attraction. Thumbs up so far from me!

Sorry, but it looks rubbish.

There is theming, but the rest is just the basic metalwork and portable looking supports. In addition, the ride lasts 29 seconds. It looks no better than something like Vol d'Icare at Parc Asterix.

Poor with very little to the layout.

I completely agree with Dan above. Given how completely cheap the hardware is (and not even like Maurer/Gerstlauer cheap, I mean CHEAP) I was expecting every metre of track to have temple theming with tunnels and towers and spires and passageways overflowing from it (think Indiana Jones at Paris). Instead we have theming which effectively runs out at the top of the lifthill, with one solitary archway looking rather lonely in the middle.

What a waste. Another million could have made it amazing.

The shame is that the first video posted in this thread shows clearly that the coaster was meant to be themed as it it were driving on hills in some parts. That theming is just not there. This is probably due to the fact that the track delivery was so late, and they just want it open now.
It\'s Big Bob, it\'s Big Bob, it\'s Big Bobs radio show.

The concept art looks like a Vekoma MK900-M.

I have a feeling this has suffered a lot of delays... Indeed, the opening date has been moved back more than a reversing dustcart...

But it looks immensely disappointing from what the concept art and original ideas wanted from it...

Regarding the ride time, IF it runs like the original one, it should be like a Mobius, only you do both sides before getting off, so really, it lasts 58 seconds... Besides, 29 seconds is still longer than Stealth or Rita...

Are the people who manufactured this ride relatively new to this business or building coasters? I guess you have got to start "big" somewhere...

This is a prime example of what many French parks did previously.

In an attempt to support their own, home grown ride manufacturers, they blindly purchase rubbish.

It's been Soquet in France. Preston in Italy and Pax in Russia.

This look like a terrible installation for a park that have bought such greats as Katun and iSpeed.
It looks temporary and fairground-ish.

Not to forget TOGO and Meisho in Japan, the worst examples of this. :)
