A step too far?

Wonder if the person who has edited it is the arsonist.

Finally a tragic end to what was a great park, that I have very many happy memories of. If this is not Arson, then I'm a monkey's uncle. I hope this is treated as an arson attack and a thorough criminal investigation takes place.

Cannot believe this, I knew things were starting to pick up behind the scenes and some sort of announcement was due soon but I'm sure this incident has set all of the recent progress back...it seems all too convenient if you ask me.

What a huge shame. :(

^ Yeah, it has been put back to normal. Before, the main picture had fire painted on it, and some nasty comments about the fire.

Glad to see it's being treated as "suspicious"

Video :(

It still has not sunk in yet, but it is good to hear the Police are treating it as suspicious.

This really is terrible and is a great loss, it has to be arson as I can't think what else could have started it. I hope whoever did this is caught and locked up, but I doubt that will happen. It's not nice seeing it collapse on that video. :(

Looks like the coaster is completley destroyed. Does anyone think the coaster will be rebuilt?

The first thing taht comes to mind for me is that it is arson so they can redevelop it without anything in their way.

Well this is the fifth (or something) major fire on the scenic railway and it has survived all of them. It also has only damaged about 25% of the track, the other sections are fine still.

So I hope it is rebuilt.

I really doubt that it will be re-built, but I hope it is. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of it is taken down and houses are built, and that would be a real shame. :(

The local council have said they want it to be rebuilt and that there is not enough damage for it to be torn down.

Somebody on TV also said that it will probably be rebuilt because it is the track and station etc. which is damaged and they can be rebuilt and there is still a lot of the ride untouched.
