Merlin parks and especially Towers have always been really good and the staff professional. I don't have a problem with PBB staff though either. Some rides there are just naturally slow throughputs often due to their age.

You mean like last year when we enquired a few minutes before ride close if the Grand National was still open and were told to "f*** off"?

I find that hard to believe and I've said before that it comes to me as no surprise that these incidents only crop up when certain people go on certain rides.

Me and Ash were at PB on the date of your TTF meet last year and some of the people in your group who did PMBO at some point in the final hour were very rude to some of the staff with no real reason, and then went online slating them for being unproffesional when they actually did nothing wrong.

Im not so keen when the Park Opens late at short notice as I work at Pasaje Del Terror so it means late nights lol!

I dont think its "good of them" to do as mentioned here though, they only do it if its busy to keep bringing in money. Thats business for you!

I agree with previous comments that the park is both "Hit and miss" and "scruffy". However, i enjoy the eclectic mix of scenery and theming, as it adds to the history of the park, if the whole place had a merlin-esque makeover it would destroy a lot of the charm of the place. I've visited twice, in 2009 and 2011, Nickelodeon land does look fantastic, all bar the enormous orange mass of the woodie, and it was definately an improvement of the bleak and slightly creepy beaver creek.

As for staffing, i've met both the best and worst staff here, the guy in wild mouse was texting while we got on, and didn't even check we had out seatbelt on. But the woman running Derby racer was amazing, there were about 12 girls, I guess about 15 years old, who were screaming at the top of there lungs and generally being incredibly irritating, the woman warned them to not mess about, they ignored her, so she stopped the ride as a group of security guards arrived and marched them away everyone clapped. After i had to thank the woman afterwards.

Also there was an oldish guy working on the big one, as it had stopped for a moment we had quite a chat, he was very imformative about the ride and the park in general and clearly loved his job.

In summary, the rides could do with a lick of paint here and there, but it would be a shame to change too much and too drastically.

What would be a recommended route of BPB? Although they're closely knit together I have no clue ask a first timer.

You don't need to have a plan for BPB its so compact and usually has few queues, although if you were to start with a ride I would say Infusion, because if there is a ride to have a queue it would be Infusion, and the Tobogon which I think opens at 11, so make sure you are there for that, but otherwise you can enjoy all the other rides with relatively small queues (in comparison to Alton or Thorpe!)

Anyone know the current status of the new ride? All the themed construction walls have been covered up... Has the IP been dropped?

Very cool...but its a shame the mine train is going...I loved it!! Oh well!
When I went to PB, they had an awful fastrack system that obviously did not work, because it was a totally unfair system! Grrr! I hope they sort this out in a few years...or best of all PB get rid of it!! LOL, like that will happen!

Surely the IP can't have been dropped, because then that would have been devestating for blackpool pleasure beach and the gp

I just found it strange that there is no longer any mention of w&g anywhere in the pleasure beach, and the fact the themed walls have been covered...

Some investigation is required I think..!

Apparently the construction walls were sheeted up to keep them up as they kept falling down, however this is isn't a confirmed source.

Hmm this seems unlikely, as you can see from the photos I posted on the previous page, the blue sheets are simply draped over the walls, there is nothing from the front holding them up. Surly they would just support them from behind...?

Uncovered now with 2013 date still to be passed out - confirmed same track as goldmine same layout just new scenes and cars etc.

News broke today to confirm it all in local press http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/business/business-news/animation-stars-cracking-new-ride-1-4832898
Has the magic gone for me - yep almost!

This is a bit of a random place to ask this, but does anyone know how steep the PMBO is?
