I presume the camera angle's very misleading. Seeing as the block for the main circuit can only ever contain one train anyway, I suspect it wouldn't matter if there's insufficient clearance for two wingrider trains to pass at the bottom of the loop.

While it's a more typically B&M layout than other wingriders can boast, it's not without interesting elements. I've wondered what a full vertical loop would look like on a wingrider for a while, and the 3D render Will posted seems to show a very large corkscrew. Might there be an inline roll between the second helix and brake run? That part of the layout's not shown very clearly.
Blaze

Nope, four inversions is your lot. Loop, zero-g, Immellman, giant wingover. Strange how there is no inline.

Not going to lie, I think that doing a vertical loop whilst in the wing rider position will be fab, and it will also look absolutely spectacular.

What a year 2012 will be for B&M.

Good lord! What a winner this wing rider concept is turning out to be...

Those tall trees look to have saved the ride. A disapointing layout looks to have been made great.

Wow this looks awesome thanks to how it interacts with the trees! I'm very impressed!

The track is nearly finished. These photos are taken from the Wild Eagle ride page.

Looks good.

Well the track is now complete, with the final piece having been lifted into place in the last few days and draped with the American flag as seems to be the tradition over in the states :)

Image

And now that the Eagle's track is finished, the ride animations have been posted, and I must say, they make it look stunning! I can't wait to see it running for real and once the tree's grow back it will look phenomenal I feel!!

The Virtual Ride Animation can be seen here, along with a Right Hand POV here.

One thing I will say though, is that it doesn't look too much longer than The Swarm, I think we are yet to see a very long layout on one of these!!
.Will

Hmm, I'd have said it was a lot longer than Swarm.

It really looks good though and is fits well in the location even with the blue track it really does seem to work. There was some worry at the start that the colour scheme wouldn't work with Dollywoods other rides but this just proves how wrong that is.

Really is a top coaster in a top park. Sleeping giant maybe?

Looks good, although maybe a little slow. Hard to tell from a virtual POV though. The pacing seems all off too but that's the fault of the animator.

Can't help feel it's just pretty generic though. Unless the wingrider concept actually adds a lot of thrill, it looks a pretty basic ride. Just your average B&M with a generic inversion after inversion with a little twisty bit at the end layout.

Should be great in the summer though when those trees are in full bloom!

Well judging by the Dollywood Pov, and a NoLimits recreation of The Swarm, there isn't much difference. In fact according to the Pov's from Crest of Lift - Final Breaks, The Swarm is approx 48seconds and Wild Eagle is 50seconds. Obviously the pacing is slightly different, and the NoLimits of The Swarm isn't totally accurate, but that suggests they will both offer a very similar ride time :)

I don't the the Swarm POV is accurate at all. The Dollywood POV just feels so much longer! There's definitely a lot more too it, though I doubt the theming will be anywhere near as good.

I hope the music in the POV video is the ride's theme music! Oh Dolly, one day I will visit you. </3

It would seem that B&M have been doing a mass delivery.

Dollywood have also received their Wingrider trains. However they are not as eager to show off as Thorpe Park, the trains haven’t yet been assembled.

Check out the imiges

Shame I didn’t have these images when doing my own design for the Wingrider but it seems like I was fairly accurate anyway.

Trains! Don't really have the level of detail of The Swarm / Raptor at the moment, although they are unfinished.
It's an actual 'wing rider' though so bonus points there.

 I don't think the Americans have quite understood the point of the Wingriders. They’re supposed to be immersive rides, themed to their surrounding and maximizing close encounters. Yet they have Wild Eagle; a fairly standard B&M layout with only the woods offering a real sense of immersion, and X-Flight which looks like they've got the right idea but is unfortunately owned by Six Flags. On this occasion I’m very glad to be on this side of the Atlantic.

As for the carts themselves I think they look nice but too plain. I was really expecting something more, especially after Mystery Mine and given the parks natural surroundings.

I really like the Eagle, it looks great! although the layout looks bland in comparison to SWARM and X-Flight.

I think the trains look awful. They've wasted an opportunity to cover that exposed metal with a large eagle, instead they've opted to sit one on the top. At least paint the exposed metal black. The Swarms trains look much better.

Unimpressive trains. I know they're unfinished, but come on.
