Seems to still be loads to do here but i'm sure they will be fine

Do you remember the photo's of Blue Fire just 2 weeks before the media day?

Now THAT was concerning! :P

I am sure this will be fine.

This is looking to be amazing!!! Tbh I expect no less from EP! Having never actually ridden a wooden coaster, I can see this is most likely to be my first! Will be odd seeing this overshadowing a park i know all too well!

So, yeah...

As nice as this coaster looks, I still don't really understand why they have it crossing Blue Fire's path.
Blue Fire is a sleek and great looking coaster within it's own environment, and I think it's going to ruin that to some extent.

I've always felt like one of the few criticisms I had of Blue Fire was that it felt a little isolated from the rest of the park, compared to rides like EuroSat or Atlantica which feel woven into the fabric of the park. Hopefully the woodie will correct that a little for me.

The only mistake they have made with this ride is having interaction with Blue Fire, it looks awful!

The ride barely impacts on Blue Fire at all!

It crosses Blue Fire at the far corner, well away from the main queue and ride area.

2013 Update

EPRust are reporting that the 2013 season will be made up of a number of developments at Europa-Park, including:

- New Indoor Coaster
- Carousel
- Mini Drop Towers
- Extension to Enchanted Forest

Plus; previously unknown:

- Eurosat refurbishment
- Show venue refurbishment
- Main entrance refurbishment

I'm not too familiar with foreign parks, is Europa Germany's version of Alton in England? Or more like Disneyland?

I only ask because their annual investments seem (to me) surprisingly massive! How do they manage to spend so much on park additions? Are German parks few and far between?

Europa Park is owned by Mack Rides. They use Europa Park to show off their new rides, new ride systems and other attractions to other potential buyers from all over the world.

Due to this and the fact that Europa Park regularly get over 3 million visitors a year and even broke the 4m barrier in 2011......their budget is MASSIVE.

It's an awesome place too. Any theme Park enthusiast has to go at least once. I'm planning on a visit this year to ride the new woodie. Not been since Blue Fire opened so that will be another one off my list as well.

I'm going to Germany with a friend this year and we'll be staying within travelling distance of Europa, been trying to persuade her to go! I love what I've seen of the place and have been envious of TTFers who've been on Blue Fire :P

Yes - the park is family owned and gets 4.25 million guests per year. There re-investment in the park is probably one of, if not the highest in the world, based on how much they spend vs how many guests there are.

Not far off being double what Alton get per year. But Germany is a much bigger place than the UK and their economy is booming unlike the rest of Europe so I guess it's about right.

Can't wait to go back this year. There has been lots of changes since I last visited.

It doesn't get far more visitors because of the German economy, it gets far more visitors because it's a vastly better theme park. Premier league Europa make Alton Towers look like a conference team.

Sorry Sam.....But can't let you get away with that. Making them look like a "conference team" is a ridiculous comment to be honest.

Nemesis, a ride that will be 20 years old soon, STILL kicks the backside of any ride in their Park. With the new technology around today and their Massive budget they still can't beat old Nemmie.

They do have a fantastic selection of rides though I'll grant you that. And they do maintain their park to a better standard too. Although, when your park is literally a "show park" to advertise your company's new rides to prospective buyers.....I suppose that is to be expected.

I'm certainly looking forward to going back to Europa this year. Not been since back in 2008. Although I am worried that When I visit the Park it is going to be unbearable due to the new Coaster opening.
