Is this throughput number correct ?
If it is correct it is very disappointing.
AstroDan

It is on epfans.info.

No GCI usually gets that high a throughput. It's low for Europa but high for a Woodie.

And about average for most theme parks, it will have huge queues but that isn't bad for a woodie.

Blue Fire has a new onride soundtrack, replacing the older version which was generlaly unsuited to the theme and a bit, well... cheap.

You can here samples of it here. There is a "dark ride" section and "main coaster" section.

I was almost really excited when you mentioned the change of the onboard soundtrack. Indeed the actual ride section is so much better, massive improvement. But I always thought the original Dark Ride section was iconic to Blue Fire and the new one just feels kind of forgettable in comparison.

I would have preferred they kept the indoor section but still it's great to see them tweaking the outdoor part.

The original dark ride music still features in the queue/station audio tracks. But I agree, not 100% sure on the dark ride change. But generally this is a change for the better.

I take it I am the only one who liked the BF onride audio then?

I think I preferred the old dark ride music (made sense to tie it in with the area music), but the main ride audio was rather forgettable.

Amazing that they've gone back and changed it 3 years after the ride opened - puts the "that'll do" attitude of most parks to shame.
AstroDan

The original outdoor on ride audio on the main part of the ride was cheap and didn't fit the theme. That is why they have gone back to it.

I rather liked it because is was subtle. It filled in the duller parts of the track between elements. I shall wait to hear the new music on ride before passing judgement on it though.

Oh wow.

It's like they ventured deep into my brain, desperate to find any small nugget of criticism I had about EP and correct it.

The old on-ride soundtrack was rubbish. Dark ride music isn't as good, but you hear it in the queue/station anyway, so it doesn't really matter. It's worth it for the VAST improvement in the main ride audio. :D

Don't really remember the old one, although I thought it was the generic Island score. New music is OK, not amazing. Dark section is meh

Anyone heard anything about Wodan's restraints - are they as tight as was feared?
AstroDan

They are restrictive, more on the thigh than anything else, I do believe.

Big Boy seats remain planned in due course, as far as I know.

Any clever sausages know what rides are usually available for the hotel ERT? Or should I just go and stand at Wodan's/Blue Fire's entrance for 30 minutes?

I'm not sure whether this has been posted but:

POV!

It looks amazing!

Hotel ERT includes Bluefire, Alpenexpress and some other Ride. I think BF ist the best choice. And u can stand first in Wodans Queue.
DiogoJ42

Having been on it last ride of the day today, I can honestly say that the queue is without a doubt, the most amazing themed enviroment I have ever seen! The extensive indoor sections of it feature (amongst so many, many other things) projection mapping beyond anything I have ever seen in 11 years of working in the lighting industry!! Utterly gobsmackingly amazing!

...Shame about the ride ;)
I kid, it's a good solid family ride that is indeed fun.... but don't expect thrills. In fairness, no coaster on earth could ever match up to a queue that epic.
I'm not a fan of the random nature of these new woodies. They twist and turn in a way that just feels badly designed and against nature to me. But I know I am the only coaster enthusiast on earth to feel this way and I'm not expecting to change anyone's opinion.

It's also a tad rough. Not in a bad way, just not to my tastes. I've certainly been on and loved much rougher steel coasters. Just saying you notice every single join between the planks making up the track, in a regular rhythm. I guess I'm used to roughness being more random rather than a steady "thunk-thunk-thunk".

On the plus side, it does have some nice speed to it.

Not quite the only one. ;)

It's not as bad as when B&M do it, but it seems to be a little too unnatural. Sometimes it works, but not it's hard to do.

From the POV, it looks decent but doesn't seem to have enough to it and never gets going. Maybe if that tall hill that takes it towards Atlantica was faster, maybe, but there seems to be something special missing that some other GCIs have.

Looks good, and the theming is jaw dropping, but it's not quite as spectacular as it maybe could have been.
