Ssssssh, you'll ruin the surprise. Although I think most people have already realised that the big red barn conceals many secrets. I heard that there's a Pretzel loop in there followed by an inverted turnaround.  :-#

Really???
All the time I thought that the giant wooden coaster we have seen on all those pictures is just decoration ... and the REAL Wodan Ride is inside that barn. Maybe a flight simulator or something like that.

A new video has been posted by the park, highlighting all the instalations and improvements made for the 2012 season. This can be found here!

I have to say, as usual, this is a fantastic well put together video, very professional! And the Park is looking great, lots of nice new footage too!

Though, can I say... Europa Park, the only park to ever make a fuss about resurfacing a road <3

God I love the place! :D
AstroDan

The road hasn't been resurfaced - it has had lane control added to make entering and leaving easier.

As for the video. New Europa-Park Promo Soundtrack is it?

La La La La La...  :D

Ride Images from today - check out the theming!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D

Alton Towers? What's that again?

I couldn't believe every time I flicked to the next photo there was another piece of incredible theming. Just astounding.

This ride appears to be the perfect balance between a superb family/thrill coaster and brilliant theming.

Even EP have outdone themselves this time.

The entrance is absolutely beautiful!

It really reminds me of Skyrim, if anyone's heard of that game :P
I used to think I knew a lot about coasters, but then I joined this forum.

Wow, shame these guys couldn't go over to Blackpool and re-theme Valhalla while there at it.

And to imagine that only 7 or 8 months ago nobody even knew this ride existed. How on earth did Mack manage to keep a project of this scale such a closely guarded secret?

Edit: And they even repainted the I-beams like I hopped they would  :D

It looks sublime in terms of aesthetics and theming but that POV really does nothing for me at all. I hope to be proved wrong come the weekend though. Compared to other GCI POVs I've seen this doesn't look as fun or as thrilling which is a shame.

New photos are lovely!

So glad to see something new and interesting in Silver Star's queue/station, it was quite boring in 2011!

My two favourite photos from TPR:

The ride is apparently a solid, good coaster. Which is what I had expected all along after seeing the plans.

Anybody who was expecting anything mindblowingly thrilling needs to remember what theme park this is.

It is going to be perfect for Europa. The theming for a Wooden coaster is simply the best I have ever seen.

I love how its said with a sort of sigh, "it's only a good solid coaster." Thats fine with me, give me a coaster of good, fun porportions everyday over something overblown, overhyped but ultimately underthought.

Haha.

Europa's 2012 promotional video promotes the fact this ride is suitable for children from 120cm. It's a complete family experience. The theming alone is exemplary regardless of the ride :p

Throughput 1,250 an hour. About where we expected. Higher than other GCIs but lower than the other big rides at EP.
