Might look impressive, but another water ride? Urgh, I was genuinely expecting something like an Intamin Accelerator or an S&S El Loco to compliment the woodies.

LOL, please tell me that was a joke?

I hope they don't ever add a steel coaster. Why should they? Modern wooden coasters are simply better, in general. Every wooden coaster produced by the big three manufacturers (GG, GCI, Intamin) are all good quality, and many are excellent. You can't say the same about steel.

^You do have a point Sam, and yes I was joking

They could do something like Wooden Warrior, something small that packs a punch.

The park recently completed a guest survey regarding steel coasters with all sorts of questions regarding different types, I would expect a steel coaster at some point in next few years. Also Wilde beast the parks current proslide hydromagnetic water ride is I understand one of the most popular rides in the park and generates the biggest queues and highest guest satisfaction ratings so adding another made sence.

Also for 2012, they're replacing their Spider flat ride with a star flyer from Zamperla:

No name yet, but based on the concept art I presume it's gonna be called "AMERICA!!!!!!"

You might be aware that Holiday World are planning to build a unique world first ride, ready to open in 2015. There are rumours that this could be a launched B&M wing coaster based on the clues that have been provided on the teaser website, especially with today's (Day 65) penultimate clue explicitly mentioning a creature with wings. There have also been lots of images of clouds attached to the clues, so make of that what you will.

Although there isn't really anything else substantial to add now, Holiday World are set to reveal all tomorrow. I'm intrigued, don't know about you...

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it sounds a bit like The Swarm?

It's going to be first of it's kind, and by the sound of that clue "enormous wings" and "swept up by it's power" it sounds like it's going to be a Launched Wing Coaster. The footers that are already in place look alot like B&M's.

I think this is going to be B&M's First Launch Coaster, Launched B&M wing coaster.
I wonder if the rumoured ride that was supposed to be SW7 but wasn't ready was going to be the same type of ride.

That does look a great ride. Only thing I'd say is they have missed opportunities for near miss elements- the inline twist could have so much more, maybe there's more to be added. But track wise it looks amazing!

Looks really good and wouldn't have been surprised if this was meant to be SW7, still looks like a contendor for the next big coaster at towers though. Can't wait to see how the whole project pans out for holiday world and wow, I love the colour of them trains!

What a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to this one and the big swooshy elements over the trees and the top of Voyage.

It kind of reminds me of Katun, in the way that its just a series of over-sized elements stitched together with very little filler track in-between, which is no bad thing in my opinion, who can blame them for getting the most bang for the buck.

The rustic styling, misting launch shed and inline through the barn is a welcomed alternative to the glued in the parking lot coaster you usually get in America.

Do we think the short 5 row trains are to have less weight to launch or simply a money saving exercise?

A very exciting project to wake up to this morning! Great to finally see B&M producing a launch and I expect we'll only see more as time goes on. I have a feeling that the short 5 row trains are due to this being B&M's debut launch coaster, especially with the wing coaster trains being some of the heaviest.

Will be a good project to watch. It seems 2015 shall be quite an interesting year for new coaster developments.

B&M always strive to create high standard rides that deliver a near flawless experience. It is due to this fact I am very excited at the prospect of a launched Wing Coaster at Holiday World. I am sure B&M will create a breath-taking ride that incorporates intensity into the well-known flying experience Wing-Coasters famously deliver and will spawn more innovative launch technology from B&M in the near future.
