These images were posted on TPR (by DJ-javixxxxx) a few days ago, showing some of the detailing around the ride area.

I had no idea there was going to be so much theming and new buildings.
Should also sort out the criticisms of the Dragon Khan ride area being dull and unthemed too!

I am visiting PortAventura in August, and can't wait to ride this.

I think that giant Buddha statue will look awesome! I have always thought that PA's area theme's were brilliant! Such detail! The only thing I was AT did more of!

It's not uncommon for park maps to feature more exaggerated theming elements than what actually exist on park. So how much of what is shown there is actually being built?

Dragon K's ride was entirely themeless, so ill be glad if it gets some added.

A video of Shambhala testing yesterday can be seen here.

It's picked up some nice speed now as expected. I love the look of that turnaround and the little hill that follows it!

I am never negative, but that thing looks really, really slow.  Looks like its struggles to eve get over some of those hills.

Leviathan knocks socks off it.

Oh well, Shambhala must be rubbish then if a ride over 1000 miles away in a different continent is better.

These rides are not going to be insane, ejector machines. Silver Star tells us that. Great fun, but nothing too testing.

It does look a lot more sluggish than I was expecting on the videos I've seen, but I'll be holding any judgement back until I've been on it in September.

It'll ride brilliantly. Honestly, even if it looks slow on a video - you'll be floating on every hill!

Floater air is bloody gorgeous...

If it rides like Diamondback, it'll be a success... Simple as really...

PA still pushing English adverts, then. It is still the second most known continental park after Disney.

By bizarre and honestly not planned (but brilliant) coincidence, I leave for PA tomorrow and will be there for opening day, so I''ll let you know how good it is!

To me it looks excellent and the new themed area is brilliant - beats anything we ever get in the UK... even Swarm
