I think it's mostly the fact that it burdens another part of the skyline. All the skyline is really is Dragon Khan, Hukurian Condor and this, and it would look miles better if it was placed on the over side of the park, rather than standing there demeaning Khan.

Still, looks a sweet coaster though! :)

It does demean khan and the theme is strange, given how well integrated existing rides are. Still looks a brilliant ride though.

I love Silver Star and this looks like Silver Star 1.1! Woo!

Don't know what it says, but there's some nice pics  :P

I quite like how it looks. Interacts quite nicely with Khan

Such a cool coaster, although I really don't like the way it intertwines with Dragon Khan. The camel back(?) over DK's lift hill looks especially ugly :/

It's such a shame it's pretty much plonked on top of Dragon Kahn and the two coasters together look ridiculous. I really hope that this was their only option to house this ride otherwise it was a poor placement choice.

I have to say though that this....

...is a thing of beauty

Got to be the most beautiful turn around ever surely?

That airtime hill afterwards looks like it could be painful as well.

I had to double check on whether or not this ride will be a part of China, and yes, it will 100% be a part of the China area.

Apparently Shambhala will have a 'sub-area' of it's own.

Portaventura are also working closely with Claudio Mazzoli to create theming. Claudio is responsible for the theming in Sésamo Aventura (opened 2011). Which is very well themed so I would expect this to have theming of a similar quality. However there is no word on how much of a scale the theming will be for this ride.

Wow looks fantastic! I dont think it spoils the view too much considering what, and where it is. That is, its a rollercoaster in a theme-park..

Im deffinately gonna give this a go, sometime late june/early july, anyone care to join?

Given I was fairly nonchalant about this addition to the park as I presumed it to be DK without inversion, I'm stunned by the latest photos!!

I'm in awe of how tall it is, how dominating the structure is over the skyline, and how steep that first drop is! My only concern is how tall both the first and second hills are in comparison to the lift :-/.

Weekend trip to PortA me thinks!!

Here's a beautiful overview of the ride.

The skyline of Portaventura still looks good, can't see why people have been saying it will ruin the look of the park.
Blaze

It looks really cool, but it's maybe a little messy, especially towards the right of the image, and it really has dwarfed Khan, which will take some getting used to.

Firstly, take a good few minutes to look at THIS.

Secondly, have a colossal update. Best coaster in Europe for 2012?

Spare Kleenex?

Say what you like about what it's done to Khan, but that looks beautiful.

Riding this on a warm Spanish evening. Heaven.

Fap.

Nice paintwork as well. The inversions look lovely and it will undoubtedly be nice and smooth.

Good work, PortAventura.
Keep on whistlin', folks.

Amazing photos but what's going on with some of those massively over-tall footers?

From inside the park this is nothing short of an EYESORE.

From outside the park it is a thing of beauty.

:)
