Thorpe Park Resort
To be fair, it's a pretty cliche font for such a theme. But yes that is absolutely hilarious!

Haha, nicely spotted whoever noticed it's the same font (or very similar) as Gears of War.
I don't think the name War is a good idea. Too much like Saw and inappropriate. I'm actually shocked they went with this kind of theme full stop, I was expected post-natural disaster as well.

Gears of War was what sprung to my mind too.
Damn you for spotting it too, I thought I had it rumbled! :P

And, so, the official online marketing campaign begins... I like!
Either that, or there is literally war on the way. I retain the right to be paranoid...
Oh, and I'm totally gunning it down to Thorpe next year

I know LC probably doesn't mean anything but I've heard some people say 'Last Call', I like the name but it doesn't seem right when I say it to myself like, 'I wanna go on Last Call next'.
LC# is just Thorpe's project tag, much like SW# (secret weapon) is Alton's. Can't remember precisely what it stands for, but it's something like Looping/Lake Coaster. Thorpe's 2015 coaster already has the tag LC15.
I know it's most probably a project tag and the letters probably have no significance to the actual ride name. I just liked the idea of Last Call/Last Stand. And nice spot on the Gears of War thing haha! Maybe it's themed to Gears of War? Humans VS. Aliens? Coincidence?

God I totally thought I was the first to find the GOW connection.
I wanted EPIC (games) bragging rights.

That would be brilliant! Only problem is that they couldn't bring the full potential out as the game is an 18.

We all know Thorpe love IP's, but I cannot stand the thought that they would not give LC12 an original theme. The plans look awesome, and we were all expecting an original theme, but GOW would ruin this all. GOW may be an amazing game, but it shouldn't get near a rollercoaster. Thorpe would have two major coasters based on IP's. Welcome to Thorpe Park, the nations IP capital, where all creativity is let at the park gates.
I hope to god this has been done to tease us.

So was the SAW films though. I really hope it's not themed to the games though. I think they may be taking inspiration from it though.

Not being a gamer I have no idea what Gears of War is, so it probably wouldn't make any difference to me. By using an IP, there is additional funding and the budget is fairly significant on this project so that would be a bonus.
They could have just used that font of course, but it does seem to be leaning towards Gears of War. I guess with an apocalyptic war theme, it makes sense. Only a few days until we find out anyway (hopefully).
EDIT. Disney, Universal, Warner and Six Flags parks use lots of IP's for their rides, I don't really see why it is such a bad thing, especially if it means they get decent theming and atmosphere etc.

I suppose we can at least guess at a name, then:
"Gears of War: The Ride", anyone?

This is true. IP has also given Thorpe their best themed coaster by far, presumably due to them being forced into making it decent by the holders of the IP.
If this is IP then at least we know the theming will be high quality and they'll be watched like a hawk for any budget cuts, and we already know it's a high quality B&M!
