I just thought that I'd put a topic  (sorry if there is one) of the re opening theme park Kentucky Kingdom. A new roller coaster was recently announced and that'll be called Lightning Run.. Made by Chance Rides.

It's a Chance rip off of the Intamin Mega-Lite but it actually looks very good. Take a look...

Is this official? The video quality is awful and the channel has one upload.

I would have thought it would have been an RMC of Twisted Sisters.

It seems quite good to me, not the best rmc out there (I think twisted colossus is the best) but it looks like it could be KKs best coaster!

Looks like a good RMC! Awful construction of the simulation though :lol

A good layout with the inverting drop used on Medusa, they're clearly combining well received elements. I doubt it will be quite as good as Twisted Colossus or Wicked Cyclone which are some of the best produced so far, but it will certainly be good.

Someone has made a much better representation of Storm Chaser and it really seems it could be an incredible coaster with a ton of airtime! :)

A ThemeParkReview Forum member has recently posted these photos showing that track for the first drop/inversion has been erected along with lots of the support structure.

Ahh. Like medusa!
Erm, change of plan, I prefer The Smiler. Rita's rubbish. Should have thought of that...

Scarefest 2016 hype is all gone... all because of Stan.H.

Storm Chaser has now tested for the first time, as seen in this video. It does seem to get very slow towards the end of the ride, but I'm sure it's likely to speed up once it's bedded in.

I feel like the distance that this video was shot at will also effect how fast the rise looks, as it's very unusual for an RMC ride to be slow. Although I must admit this does make me excited for RMC's future installations as this shows they are really letting loose with their track layouts.

I agree with Owen, it's probably to do with the distance. I think its ending will be faster than it looks :)

Here's the first on-ride POV of Storm Chaser from Upstop Media. Definitely seems to maintain good speed throughout, and so it looks as though RMC have delivered once again.

Is the layout slightly different to the animation, especially after the final inversion?

Yes, RMC have a habit of adjusting layout's slightly in between the initial announcement and construction.

Definitely some of the strangest transitions I have seen on a coaster, very nice looking and well paced though! :)
