^Agreed, personally I think it is a shambles compared to Alton Towers Scarefest. It completely lacks any atmosphere, soul-less in my opinion

That all depends on the dates you go on. The earlier ones have less atmosphere. On halloween and the dates nearer then the atmosphere is brilliant! With all the actors about the place. The mass of people, the screams and the terrible lighting :P It is truly brilliant. Until the fastrackers come along. But still, it is better in my opinion for the fright and scary feel to it. I go there for my only B-day present due to the huge cost but 11-12 hours on rides is brilliant. Even if I do use fastrack my self.

We did the first weekend of Scarefest and loved it, went 1st November for Fright nights, no atmosphere and it was hell, wont be returning for Fright Nights, but definetly going to Scarefest.

FYI Fright Nights is 25 mins down the road for me, Scarefest is 3.5 hours and a hotel stay.....

I'd rather go to Chessington than Thorpe for Halloween.
If you go down to the woods today

Mazes open at 3 and the park shuts at 9, but if it's been a busy day they stay open for a bit sometimes :)

I personally think Fright Night is a lot better than Scarefest, for thrills anyway.

What so you have to pay to get in even if you have a premium MAP?

It is. Whether you leave at 2 or 10pm, it is the same for everyone. :(

So in the biggest overhaul of the event since launching Lionsgate UK are joining Fright Nights.

Teaming up with Lionsgate UK, THORPE PARK will bring all new immersive live action horror attracions based on You're Next, the up coming must see summer horror movie, The Blair Witch Project, My Bloody Valentine and The Cabin in the Woods, not forgetting SAW, which opened back in 2010 just a year after SAW - THE RIDE.
What are your views on this?

Scarefest loosing appeal as fright nights take over?

Cabin in the Woods? I look forward to seeing Universal's superior attempt at the maze wipe the floor with Thorpe's effort! Although it's interesting to see the whole event is being pushed by an IP. This will be my first Fright Night visit to Thorpe this year [hopefully] so I'm unsure of what to expect.

I think the design has been in partnership with Universal Creative.

Isn't it Lionsgate who are also involved with HHN?
