Having gone back over the plans again today, this new coaster doesnt seem as it will be as impressive as i once hoped. No queueline buildings. And when you enter the main building you walk down a short corridor around 20ft, and up some stairs right into the batching area.
And during the 20ft walk downstairs you merely enter the station with a wall on one side and the corner before the inline twist on the other. No room for anything horiffic or scenes etc...?!
Dissapointing
It would of been great to see riders enter a old garage or outbuilding or something before the main building even if it only had a few video screens and a main piece of theming, a saw perhaps that sparked and came very close to those queueing. The video explains the ride and does the whole "moral judgement" thing, and then you encounter a low spinning saw later on in the ride as well.
We shall see
Perhaps the internal areas are only a basic idea, and might not need detailed planning submitted. Becuase the plans shown to us are only for planning permission, then surley internal designs don't need submitting?

No internal planning wont be needed as it just like putting up wall in your house. You wont need planning unless int a listed struture which this isnt

Thing is there just no real space in that building. And they will have to enter the building at the point on the planning so
Thing is, will there be external videos and will the queueline go through other building not detailed on the planning because they might already exist or are only tempory structures.

Their may be que building that will be build that wont need planning as they wont be very tall a possible made of wood. Same reason you don't need planning permission of a shed. :ets just hope if they do it will be a lot better than just a shed.
Most structures need to be shown. For example the Oblivion buildings would have been on the plans. However have we seen all the plans or just the detailed ones for the main buildings/track. I think they would add something to the queueline even if its just a small hut.

Thing is that the Oblivion buliding are quite big and more of a permant structure. Also will the pit were the last invirsion be themed do you think. That wont need planning permission so lets hope they do something good their

I think we could still see quite a bit of theming in the queue line, or at least i hope so. I think the basic morals of Saw have to be shown to people who haven't seen the films, or tbh, there's no point going on a ride which you have no idea about or the story behind it.
I believe they will have put maximum effort into the space they have put forward for, especially with Lionsgate being involved.

Weren't the Oblivion buildings already there though, before they changed it to X-Sector. If we look at the 1996 map, here, for example:

We can see a games arcade and a fast food place in the same locations as the current oblivion ones

No the ones that are on that map are the existing KFC building. The whole area received new buildings including the arcade/photo collection point and the area around the hole

I heard that originally it was going to be based on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they should have kept it as that

All that's going on at the moment which is visible to the public is work to the station area. There's not a great deal to look at now I'm afraid!

Are they struggling with the construction or something? - Would've thought we'd have heard something by now.

I'm actually quite looking forward to this now, I decided to sit down and watch the Saw series and I really enjoyed it, hopefully the ride should mess with your mind and not be a total gore fest.
