I must admit, i would prefer a eurofighter if its done to the extent of mystery mine... it looks incredible

But a flyer would probably have a lower capacity due it spending half the time broken down. They could always use duel stations. The problem i see Thorpe having in investing in a Euofighter is through put. There not exactly queue eaters.

This is true, and also the reason why Thorpe would be more suited to a Flyer as 90% of Thorpes rides spend the year gathering dust.

I've been to Oakwood quite a few times last season and I've never encountered any breakdowns on Speed at all. It's reliability is great. I'm sure Thorpe would find a way of changing that, but joking aside, a relible ride with SLIGHTLY low throughput is far better for a park like thorpe than a ride with high throughput that always breaks down.
The reason I made a point about slighly lower throughput is that people keep making the point that Eurofighters throughputs are too low, but Speed is 800 per hour- that's the same as rita and stealth isn't it?

Yeh thats pretty much the same, between 900 and 1000 for Stealth and Rita. A Eurofighter can easily be built to be able to achieve a higher throughput

Speed runs one car though most of the time so never actually hits it's throughput target.

B&M Flyers have come along way since air. Alot was taking from air and changed. Examples now being the new ones do not have floor plattens due to the numbers of problems and errors they cause. Also ride system was updated and other bits and bobs which where found to be an issue which air still stuffers with no longer come about on newer models. All flyers come with duel stations due to the long loading times and to make ease access to divert crafts if there is a problem on one of the stations.

True, the dual station can improve reliability if one station goes down can just use another.

Yes but that's because Oakwood is a smaller park so there is little demand for more than one car. When i went in August it was operating on 2 and it was walk-on so that's all Oakwood needs due to the low demand.
At thorpe there would be higher demand, so it would frequently operate on all 4 cars achieving similar throughputs to stealth and so presumably, similar queues.

I don't know about that if they do get a eurofighter then i think the height and speed will make the GP generally ride stealth more than a Eurofighter
Although if the guests were allowed to see the vertical hill lift (which they probably will be able to) that would create a lot of interest and queues

This is my last Comment or View of TTF. I\'ve had enough of all this geek stuff, Im not worrying about theming or story\'s or landscaping, smoothness or what a ride is like compared to another. To just enjoy the roller coasters as fun and adrenalin filled.
I still dont see how a Eurofighter would suit Thorpe Park at all. Personally, I dont think Thorpe Park do themeing well, and until it's up and running, I wont believe a well themed Eurofighter is heading the way of Thorpe Park.
I think a Flyer is more likely, but even thats been put off hasnt it? Might be something totally unexpected, like a B&M floorless or dive machine?

At the end of the day, put theming to one side for a second and just concentrate on the rides themselves, what would you rather have, a B&M flyer like Tatsu, or a Eurofighter like Rage.
OK, if thorpe decide to get a eurofighter just like mystery mine, then fine, as the theming will improve the ride greatly. but in reality, do you really think that thorpe will get something on the scale of mystery mine.
so if Thorpe just build the roller coaster with minimal to no theming (which is a possibility ) then what would you rather have and what will look better...?

Yes but you're using the best example of a flyer (Tatsu) against one of the less exciting Eurofighters. If i was to say....would you rather have a B&M flyer like Air or a Eurofighter like Mystery Mine (or Speed for that matter) then, to me, the Eurofighter seems the preffered option.
Also, whilst I am sure that Tatsu is a fantastic ride, i still think mystery mine would be a better ride experience overall. Based on just theming, I'd say Mystery Mine looks better, and based on ride experience alone I'd say that (unless Tatsu is completely different to Air) Mystery Mine is a better ride.
I really cant see why so many people are so "anti" thorpe park getting a eurofighter. speed is one of the best coasters I've ever ridden, and i've ridden alot. As far as I can see, Eurofighters are fantastic ride experiences, and as mystery mine proves, they can look amazing.

Here's a clue - 8 cars and Wardley is redesigning it. You heard it here first.

Yay, another "i know what's happening comment" with nothing to show or back up the statement.

OK, it's time for a Sebastian argument! I may sound like everyone else; in fact think that if you are that narrow minded, but this was told to me by a regular on CoasterForce; a Thorpe engineer who specialises on Stealth. Currently half way through car four of Train 3, he has been reliable on various amount of occasions.

Just to counter act your claims.
CF are not Merlin.
A high ranked person at the PB said that for 2008 the PB were getting Rapids. There getting Adventure Golf, a poor copy cat of Extrodinary Golf.
Forgive me if i don't take your word as iron clad proof. Until i see something concrete literally speaking, then i don't believe word of mouth or say so i'm sorry.

I'm rather lost for words, it looks very impressive I must say, interesting layout with some fantastic theming, hopefully this does not end up like a flying fish or Stealth where most of the theming vanishes during construction, but the layout in itself is outstanding.
Edit: No idea why the links were not working, I've just linked to SP, easier and what not.

Fantastic, interesting stuff. These plans look excellent and regardless of what's taken from Mystery Mine, it looks almost magical.
I just wish it was the Alton Towers logo in the corner, not Thorpe Park. It again makes me wonder which park is the UK jewel.
