I think you're right, Dave. I think it was supposed to look like it was destroying the ship, so you blasted out the other end of the ship.
Well you walk in and out of the Nemesis monster's side, but it's where the trains enter and exit that's really going to blow his mind. :P
Maybe the reason the monster is so angry is because for the past decade and a half it's arse has been repeatedly penetrated against its will.

I'm never ever going to be able to ride Krake without thinking about ATJoseph's comment now! :P
It's like in reverse.Dormiens-Dave wrote:

This is fantastic to see! I think it will probably make a big difference to the ride, it should be somewhat awesome dropping into a teeth filled mouth.
Merlin have gone back to a ride and finished its theming!!!!
Please please please now go fix Thirteen!!

They'll need an excavator to do that effectively.Dormiens-Dave wrote:

Now that looks good. This has really upped what was a somewhat mediocre looking ride experience, to something more sensational with top notch themeing elements. It's hard to believe that this is the same company who left rides like Air unfinished (though I suppose they are a different company now), and are now coming back round to finish it off to the originally set standards. Merlin's theming standards are getting better and better, shame they're all similar themes though!
:P

I actually think some of what is now being installed was already made and designed for 2011, however there was some sort of problem last minute.
It was always meant to be as it is for 2012! Otherwise, Krake just didn't have that "wow" factor you see with Raptor or Swarm.

^Precisely, I remember some construction photos last year of a steel structure being put over the base of the drop, only for them to go head long into some problem and hence it never got finished properly...
Least they're doing so, it should really complete the ride...
