One of the few expectations being Revenge Of The Mummy? If we had something on that scale at this new park I'd be ruddy chuffed!

The park needs things we don't already have in this country. We need immersive dark rides/roller coasters that will blow the socks off people who've never been to places like Universal and Disney.
Now's not the time for fear. That comes later.

They are getting a woodie! If you look to the left of the plans it looks pretty epic!

Although I'd love to see that happen, I imagine the plans will change massively over the next few years before groundwork begins.

Very true! Nothing wrong in hoping that it will happen though.

True! I'll be hoping for a Transformers ride, similar to the Universal Hollywood version. Now that's wishful thinking!

Not sure what the situation would be with the rights. Universal have the rides, but the films were distributed by Paramount.

Hasbro chose Paramount to make the movies, but the rights to build/operate rides and attractions lies with Universal so it's unlikely we would see a transformers ride. We're more likely to see a Star Trek ride after the recent success of the franchise, Star Trek 12 next year, and 13 already rumoured to be on the cards!

Just look at Universal Studios 90% of there attractions are indoors so building this park indoors means it be able to be open 365 days a year in all weathers. The only worrying thing about this park how much it's gonna cost to enter the park.

I belive this was part of a publicity stunt to show that construction is up and runing.

You've got to remember the park won't open till 2015. So give it some time and i'm sure costuction will speed up!

Please aprove the Kent park Local councils!
Good find!

Some new info today, including a daily Carnival/parade as well as an idea of just how big the park could be. Exciting stuff! Let's hope this gets the green light.

Very interesting indeed.

Noticed it also mentions plans being available to view in the new year. I look forward to that!

You can see the USS Enterprise on that picture (top-left), which almost guarantee's a Star Trek ride!  :D

Seriously hope this plan becomes a reality - think it is the wake up call the UK theme park industry needs besides it has great potential!

I literally live 5mins away from the site and personally think it will be a great location. I will try and see the plans when they become available locally to view, we have already had some 'blurb' come through form our councils suggesting how great it would be but they contain no new information.

The plans are preliminary and as it progresses the actual layout and style of the park could change. They'll need to think about the roads as a priority, surely they'll need to build some new roads or make vast improvements to current ones?

I think it can be a great success but with careful strategic planning, Paramount will consult on the project so I'm sure they will help make it a big success, apparently the final decision on the resort name will rest with them though. They should consider hiring thinkwell design group who have done amazing jobs on theme park resorts and really brought them to life.

I do worry about this park getting even started. The park in Spain had there ground breaking ceremony last year and since then nothing been done on the site.

I know the area and I do think it would be fantastic, but I'm not sure I can see it happening

The basic road network is good in the area as it has to cope with Bluewater (Europe's Largest Shopping Center). Although there are problems at peak times onto the A2. The further investment of the new 'Glow @ Bluewater' and the expansion of 'the village' (posh part of the shopping center) i have seen no added problems.

Roads would have to be altered and changed (the Bean interchange) but i cant see that as being a major major problem. Lets face it public transport would be so good to the park, HS1, Euro*, Normal Trains, Bluewater Shuttle Bus. I would think a vast number of travelers would be public transport.

True, but at least the UK economy is in a somewhat better state than that of Spain's economy.
