I was wondering whilst on the bus what is the most exspensive ride/attraction ever made. Including the theming etc..

Inflation tends to mean that it's always a fairly recent ride.

I know Radiator Springs in Disney's California Adventure cost $200mill which seems a bit much considering it reuses Test Track tech but it may also include the flat rides they built with it.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is another $200mill one but that almost certainly covers the theming of the entire area (including shops)

Interesting topic!! I had a look at some of the more obvious expensive rides-

Transformers- $100 million
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey- $100 million
Jurassic Park- $110 million
Mission to Mars- estimated at $120 million

I do wonder how much the new ride in the London area of Universal will cost once built, it looks like it'll be huge!

Anyone know the most expensive in the UK?

Really? Jesus, doesn't say much about the UK's portfolio of rides! Whats second on the list, Squirrel Nutty?

I thought Expedition Everest was also an expensive ride to build including all the theming, but not exactly sure how much it was :)

I know it was around $100M which I think was just the ride itself and all the theming around it as the rest of Asia area of the park had been there since 1999. I think it was also in the Guinness World Records in 2011 as the most expensive rollercoaster in the world aswell.

Simple
