Got any good dark rides you want to share? Post them in this thread and the people have to give an opinion on them and rate them :)

Let me start: It's a small world

Opinion: Its a very themed ride with different types of music playing in each section of the ride. (Just like Toyland Tours) It's amazing and a good ride for both adults and children. The only downside is that this ride takes forever to finish and when the ride breaks down it takes half the century for the ride Ops to evacuate you (In some occasions).

I haven't been on this, but it sounds (and from the video) and looks like the world's worst dark ride. It's Transdemonium at Parc Asterix.

It looks absolutely incredible on the outside, but from what I've heard, it's a complete contrast to what lies within. :|

Tinkerboo Factory at Pleasure Island.

Magical Seaquarium at Fantasy Island.

If you like vintage 90s round boat rides, that is.

Transdemonium is a bit... weird... Not really sure what happened during it...

I'll once again big up Huntik at Rainbow Magicland, because it's truly awesome with great theming and interaction with the 3D and animatronics...

Also I'd give Ramses at Gardaland a nod as well, very cool ride with an awesome soundtrack...

Dark rides I've been on that I consider truly great:

- Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland California.
- Spirit of London at Madame Tussauds
- Spiderman at Islands of Adventure
- Fata Morgana at Efteling
- Tower of Terror at Disneyworld Florida
- Haunted Mansion in California and Florida
- Hex at Alton Towers
- Dinosaur! at Animal Kingdom

edit: How could I forget Mystery Castle?! My favourite of all the above!

Honourable mentions to Villa Volta, Spaceship Earth and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Mystery Castle at Phantasiland deserves a mention, in my opinion the best dark+tower ride in the world :D
I used to think I knew a lot about coasters, but then I joined this forum.

It is indeed superb. Although it isn't in the realm of Tower of Terror, at least for me.

Curse of DarKastle at BGW, it is fantastic. I prefer it to Spiderman and Universal and that is saying something. It is easily the best and most enjoyable dark ride that I have been on.

I actually really enjoyed it! I usually hate these sorts of rides, cause I have some sort of wierd phobia of animatronics. But it was really fun. There was even a drop, which really got me by suprise! It's more of a kiddy ride, but there are some really fun little bits, like you are going up a spiral lift, whilst a troll spins round and round, slowly getting closer and closer to you. I enjoyed it.
The queue on the inside is horrible. Sometimes it's quite cool. For example, there is a lovely bit where it looks like you're in a hall, and it has a sort of trap door, which occasionally shakes and bangs. But most bits are small, hot, dark, and claustrophobic corridors.

Word of advice, don't try and squeeze three adults in to one boat, otherwise you will run aground.  :P

My personal favorites are:
  • The Speed Of Magic
  • V12
  • Racing Legends
They are actually all at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and they are all really well executed definatley worth mentioning as they usually slip under the radar.
