It's not a TV. It's a microwave for the pasties they sell in the small kiosk that are frozen. :^oDom wrote:The TV is in the small building in the queue line.Andy Mc wrote:I remember a brief discussion on how people thought some pre-show part will be like Tower of Terror with the television and we thought nah if anything it'll be a lot more elaborate. Please tell me that TV isn't in the pre-show room and where exactly the picture was taken from

SRQ = Single Rider Queue. Basically a queue which is generally shorter than than the main queue but involves filling empty seats on the train, therefore splitting you from your group.KoasterKraver wrote:What is a SRQ? It best be better than the microwave...
Burniel | Great at theme park knowledge, not so great at designing signatures.

Thorpe Park posted a new PR video for the ride:https://youtu.be/say8oanFjS8
some good shots of an area of the building interior in the video, looks like an underground tube tunnel

I think this is going to be a walk through part of the attraction, there also appears to be on an opposite shot of the man looking at the other wall, the front of a London underground train. (At 0:28 on the very back wall) Maybe the trains so there and you see the 'demons' running at your from the tunnel?COASTERGUY246 wrote:Thorpe Park posted a new PR video for the ride:https://youtu.be/say8oanFjS8

I am sad that they have gone for a zombie cliché, yes they can then demons but it's the same thing, but I'm still sure it'll be awesome!

What a delay? We've talked about a delay but they have announced that there will be a preview event on the 4th showing that they're very likely on track, otherwise they wouldn't of announced it. (I think you were referring to the smiler's delay?)NemesisNosh wrote:"Opens soon."
Smiler 2.0 is upon us.

Here's a couple of screenshots from the video:
In these images there doesn't look to be any ride hardware, so it would seem as though a notable portion of the attraction may take place outside of the train vehicle that we've seen. As mentioned above, you can also see the front of what looks like a London Underground train, and it wouldn't surprise me if this will move forward towards guests. I also believe the fire exit which can be seen in the top-left of the second screenshot is where people have recently taken photos of the interior through. This makes me think that this section is in the lowest portion of the building, where we saw them construct the tunnel type shape in the early stages of construction.
Although I can't be sure, I'm inclined to say this tunnel section has been split into halves to provide the two endings which have previously been stated, with us just seeing one of the sides here.

This one from Total Thorpe Park (not that you can see inside):Horras64 wrote:Do you know what specific images could have possibly been taken through this exit?
I think it may have actually been this video from the time I've linked from that I'm thinking of though.

The thing is, the fire exit had something to the left of it, that presumably continues on. If it does then it's a lot harder to place, if it doesn't then it's easier.
Also the video doesn't load. (This might just be an issue in Tapatalk)
However I see it's just the same image.
I'm just trying to find where to place this just of the attraction with the building.

In terms of if this effects the opening date, we don't know when this was shot and I'm sure it was a few weeks ago at least as it wouldn't be shot to show the finished or near completed inside, on the other hand it does say "Opening Soon" which is never a good sign. It will just be a case of wait and see unfortunately.
Personally, I'd very much doubt that these demon creatures will be actually inside the attraction, at least in the same form as in the video. Surely that would be extremely expensive and time consuming to maintain considering the amount of makeup and time that would have to go into every single actor?
I'm just not sure :-k

I remember Derren was on park a few weeks back so it could be then.Owen wrote:In terms of if this effects the opening date, we don't know when this was shot and I'm sure it was a few weeks ago at least as it wouldn't be shot to show the finished or near completed inside, on the other hand it does say "Opening Soon" which is never a good sign. Also, if they do have the "demon" in there I hope its not a repeat of Saw Alive and they stop doing it.

If you watch the clip when its inside the elevator seems simply like a fully ready costume which simply needs to be put on.Owen wrote:Surely that would be extremely expensive and time consuming to maintain considering the amount of makeup and time that would have to go into every single actor?

My only concern is these actors if they have to move like this are going to seriously have sore backs.

Even so, that's a lot of effort considering Saw: Alive barely made it past two seasons :-k
We will have to wait and see! :P
In other news, THORPE PARK Mania have reported more about the demon creature, and that it will be one of the 'many creatures within the Ghost Train narrative'. To me that suggests he's going to be one of the 12 experiences, good luck to whoever gets that one! :lol
It also states that there have been multiple scares tests, with two currently known - one at the Resort and one in Wolverhampton. It also states it took a group of special effects specialist 3 months to create the suit, as well as Derren confirming that he has been "testing the various components of the attraction" over the last few weeks. You can read the full article here.
Here's a good photo of Derren walking his new pet on a lead within Wolverhampton -
