Yes you read the title right. I'm surprised this has managed to slip completely off the radar.

Legoland Deutschland has always been more open to thrill seekers then the other Legoland parks, but there new ride "Flying Ninjago" appears to be taking this one step further.

Judging by promotional material and a source from Screamscape this new ride looks set to be either a Sky Roller or Sky Fly. Both are fairly new concepts from Gerstlauer.

But what’s so special about these rides?
Despite being a really barmy and unique concept both are capable of inverting:

and if Screamscape are to be believed the model in question is the Sky Fly which is the more extreme of the two.

Whichever ride this is it looks great. The promotional even hints at carts themed just like those of Raptor which can only be good news.

Also Included is meant to be a Ninja Miniland. Sounds cool although I always thought the idea of a Miniland was to recreate real life places rather than fictional Ninjas, Pirates and Star Wars :?

To me this looks really interesting, even more so than Billund’s Polar X-plorer. I’d love to see Windsor get something like this only due to the rides height it’s probably very unlikely.

yeah i did spot this a while back whilst researching SW7, and just assumed everyone already knew about it

Gerstlauer already confirmed that they're working on it on their homepage

http://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/referenzen/referenzliste-laender/europa/deutschland/flying-ninjago/

does look really good fun, interactive rides of this nature i find a lot scarier, as they seem to be completely out of control

would love to see one over here regardless of which park its at 8)

Yeah also knew about this but anyway this is the Skyfly not the SkyRoller.

Here is confirmation!

Just watch this!

Such an awesome looking ride. Can't imagine this being built at Windsor (we need a new coaster anyway) but it's nice to see a Legoland ride that if you really want you can go nuts on  :D

As great as it looks (and it does look rather fun being interactive an' all that) - the capacity and thoroughput looks rather dire. Twelve riders per cycle? Really?  :?
AstroDan

I've been wanting to ride one of these for as long as the concept has been out there. They look amazing and it's a ride where you can decide how thrilling you'd like it to be.

It's the sort of ride that could work at Thorpe, Chessington or Legoland. People have been complaing lately about not having enough all-round family attractions and if it weren't for the 1.3 minimum height restriction then it would be a good addition to any one of those parks. It would entertain the thrill seekers and those that can't stomach going upside down so many times can just glide around gently.

The larger Skyroller can get through 720pph and that's not too bad really.

That looks awesome! :D

Even if it's only small, I like how the foreign parks open their rides with a bit of ceremony, something that rarely happens in the UK!

They could double the throughput by making a model with two arms opposite each other. The ride would start flat, then rise up and tilt like it is now. :)
