Aye me and Dan have spoken about this, it looks a sexy coaster tbh. Also, the entrance to the park is through that pretzel loop i believe. You go up and escalator through it. Pretty nifty if you ask me!

Followed it through contruction, looks a descent coaster. Some of the elements look fun, and the entrance as said above is pretty nifty :).

According to RCDB that cost 7.5 million Euros or £5m......

How the hell did that cost £3m less than Rita?.....

It looks awesome :D

The pretzel loop looks like it could fit inside Ritas height ceiling, which is depressing :-(

Hello English friends!

My name is TusenFryd, and I'm a theme park in Norway. In fact, I'm Norway's biggest theme park! I know I'm not the biggest park in Europe, and I'm tucked out the way a bit in my Scandanavian home, so I thought I'd tell you a bit about myself and all my lovely rides! Did you know that 50% of Norweigans are close enough to me for a day trip? I may not be as big as Europa or Port Aventura, but I've got a big heart! :D

Image
Look at how beautiful I am! :)

I was born in 1988 and I quickly became Norway's most popular theme park. I opened with Loopen as my only rollercoaster. It might be just a compact travelling Vekoma, but the setting is so pretty! It still runs today, and is Norway's answer to Corkscrew or Python. :)

Image
It may be old and rough, but it made me what I am today!

Just two years later saw me open my second rollercoaster. Again, it's nothing special, a Zamperla Dragon, but my lovely forest setting really transforms this modest little ride!

Image

1996 saw the opening of my cutest ride yet. Another ride for children, the "Dvergbanen" is the smallest rollercoaster in the world! Take that Morwenna Angrove!

Image

It would be another half a decade before I got another coaster. But 2001 was a BIG year for me! You could say it was the year I started to grow into a proper theme park! In 2001 I built a wooden coaster from Vekoma, the Thundercoaster! It's generally regarded as the best Vekoma woodie in the world. Did I mention it's beautiful? :)

I was on a bit of a roll after that! In 2003 I got kinda jealous of Poseidon at Europa Park, so I asked Mack if I could have one on my own. Mine's a bit smaller, but it still has a brilliant drop and a crazy airtime hill! SuperSplash :)

Image

Image
More wilderness!

But it took another three years for my most ambitious project yet. An Intamin Accelerator coaster, with a huge Norwegian Loop wrapped around my park entrance escalator. What an entrance! Speed Monster has to be my favourite of my rides, the speed and airtime is phenomenal! So unique as well.

This doesn't look very safe!

Two years later, I opened this little pirate ship, the good ship Kanofarten!

Image

2009 saw my craziest ride yet, the SpinSpider.

Image
Yikes!

In 2010, I opened Nightmare. Fans of the London Dungeons may recognise this ride, but mine was the first in Europe!

Image

I have a few other rides too, here they are...

Image
RollOver.

Check out my SpaceShot!

Image
I also have a pretty little log flume!

In 2008 I was bought by Parques Reunidos. They also own Kennywood, Miribilandia, Bobbejaanland and Movie Park Germany. I want to be as big as my brothers one day!

Who knows what the future will bring for me under my new owner. Fun fact: only 50% of the land I own has been built on, I have lots of space to expand! Jealous much, Phantasialand? ;)

Image
My pride & joy. <3

Thankyou for checking me out guys! It's much appreciated!

Lots of love from Norway,
TusenFryd

(p.s. I asked Sam to post this for me as I'm not very good with computers! )

Nice post Sam. pretty much all I knew about this park was Speed Monster, so thanks for enlightening me. :)

Anyone up for a trip?
AstroDan

I always thought Tusenfryd looked like a nice park and, with a Woodie, Accelerator and Super Splash together with a host of other rides - I am sure it'd be a lovely day out. Not to mention the beautiful forest setting.

I've been to this park. It's pretty nice but speedmonster is average at best. The woodie however is pretty spectacular.

It's all about the very reasonably priced Skycoaster on the top of the hill really.

PS: The rollover was removed to install the pirate ship

Oooh, that's a good thing, that RollOver is ugly. Was it a temporary thing they bought until they figured out what to do with the site?

Does anyone know if the escalator was there before Speed Monster? It looks like it's under construction in one of those photos. :)

Tusenfryd is on an episode of Coach Trip if anyone fancies getting a look at the park...

Does look nice though... Though the best Vekoma Woodie is an arguable accolade considering how they seem to get a lot of grief...

According to RCDB, the name of the Vekoma Junior is Western-Ekspressen

Whatever it's called, Tusenfryd seem to have dropped the ball since Speed Monster. :|
