I was down at the O2 this weekend and it's looking quite nice, looks a lot higher in real life than photos have made it seem, that was my reaction at least. I look forward to it opening!

Well, for all intents and purposes they are the same - same model, just slightly smaller.
Doesn't look beautiful at all to me, and I don't know why. Kinda just looks like they've been draped over the pylons, like a kinda cheap Christmas decoration. No idea why I think that, though...

So Canary Wharf, The O2 and The Thames aren't interesting enough for you are they?! :PBig Dave wrote: Probably because its so high and doesn't have an interesting back drop to look at.
Yed but they are buildings. They are not picturesque landscapes like towers or some ski resort.

It's okay, the Jubilee line runs practically along the same route as a cheaper alternative.Islander wrote: I'm no public transport expert, but under 1,200pph strikes me as very low...

I wonder why they chose to have small gondals when the surrounds are all large and imposing, bigger would look better in this case surely

More testing. On one side, the ascent looks so steep!
Made me realise how insanely high it is as well, compared to Alton's!

Loving the station, and the speed looks fairly good too,
