Some one is planning on building a new park on international drive.
from what i've seen they want to put in a ride at over 400feet, s&s 4d and over 300 foot drop towers take it i will be a amusment park not a theme park but think it will go down well in the area

I think it's smart to not pitch it as a theme park. With Disney and Universal (the kings of theme) they would never compete. Pitching it purely as a thrill-seeking amusement park with some top-notch coasters on the other hand - great idea!

And building it on I-Drive which is chock-full of tourists is a great location, too.

I'd still worry about their visitor numbers though. In a 2-week trip it's hard enough to do Disney/Universal properly, and there's also Seaworld, Busch Gardens and the soon-to-open Legoland.

Still, I'd go! :D

Just looking through other forums I found this video from the the pesedent for the project Chuck Bell giving an interview from IAAPA.

Hope this helps with the discussion.

This park sounds amazing, it also sounds as if they are in the advanced stages of planning and are alomst ready for submitting the project to the authorties for consideration.

Sound Good :D

It sounds like another Thorpe Park. Imagine the queues there with such a tiny space and all those rides? and plus the massive queues anyways (with it being one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world). I can either see this park being mindblowingly good, or an absolute disaster. xP

Screamscape seems sure that one of the coasters is an exact match to Blue Fire based on the layout, but I can't see it myself...

Yep, that's a Blue Fire clone, with what appears to be a standard SLC next to it.

I'm slightly confused about the transition between BF's overbanked turn and the loop in those plans. They don't look like they join up at all...

That's only because the corkscrew (or horseshoe or whatever its called) crosses at that point and part of the line representing the track edge is missing. After the overbank it goes into the loop, then round and up to the MCBR (bottom right).

Mack Launched Coaster?

But it'll no doubt be themeless.

Still.. Hurrah!

Chance and Vekoma? URGH!

Nice to see a mack, s&s and mondial on the list though. No B&M?
Would of been nice to see a 3rd intamin stratacoaster!
Blaze

That Vekoma thing looks wierd. Like a crap, short Shwarzkopff :?

Still, it's one stupidly impreesive list of rides.

Who the hell is paying for all this?

Wow, it's like one of those Chinese parks.

But I think Blaze's point is very important. I think this may just be a pipe dream, put about by a few crackpots with no intention of this coming to reality.

Why all those first class rides and then a Vekoma SLC?!

The more incredible the ride line-up of this park gets, the more I lose interest.

It seems like a complete pipe-dream, does anyone think this is actually gonna happen?! I think some investors are being scammed.

The Mack Launch Coaster doesn’t make sense.

At IAAPA Roland Mack was saying there they have no intention of making clones (at least not of Blue Fire). The description of the Thrill Park also claims it will be taller. I guess the map they’ve provided just shows default layouts in a similar way that Saw was represented with Air's layout on their MTD plan.

I would be very dissapointed if it's a clone of Blue Fire.

They need to avoid clones as it doesn't show flexibility in the product, nor give Europa-Park a unique attraction.

I don't see the point in having all these launched coasters.
