The MitchHawker or whatever annual poll. Remember? ;)

I like the fun quirky side though... like 'Get Growing Tips' and the videos this year are much better. It may be cartoony buy it is a lot more informative now.

Hmm, I do remember..

Megafobia did not even make the top 10 in it..

So it most certainly is not that one! :P

Oakwood probably made it up to make the park look good :lol:
One amazing new achievement is the luxury of being able to book online. I dont know why anyone would want to, it's not like your skipping many queues. 15% off isn't bad though.

I've just checked the poll, Megaphobia was voted 18th best woodie, I'm not sure where that would place it in a combined steel/wood ranking, but its certainly not in the top 10.

I like it, yes maybe cartoony. But it's bright & gives a good look at the park, also the ride videos are even though the Speed one's abit like the Alton resort one with all the sound clips & stuff

I that case Oakwood are being very naughty and misleading thier guests. A simple statement such as the UK's favourite ride? may have been a little bit more accurate. Although, still an overstatement. But British Airways manage to get away with the Worlds Favourite Airline (or headline) when there are many others which are far bigger and popular.

When back in Wales this weekend a brochure came through the post for Oakwood. I have got 2 pictures of it... The front cover;

And a section about Megaphobia saying how it is number three etc;

The brochure is quite a good read which tells you about other things to do in Wales, what's nearby, some competitions and a bit more on Bob the Builder which is only there from31st of March to 15th of April. Does this mean he will come back to Alton afterwards??

Cool!
I'm sure you'll have a great time working at Oakwood. Did you get retail or ride op?

See here for the website topic Beth, http://www.towerstimesforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=15508

It looks to me as if the website was built and run by Oakwood, by someone on site as there is no 'designed by' message anywhere on the site.
Alton's site is designed by VCCP.

Well done Beth! :)

Like Thomas, I've never been to Oakwood but I'd be interesting in visiting purely for Speed and Hydro. It seems like a good little park.
