Simple really, have you come across any coaster you think is odd for any particular reason?

I have to say watching THIS made me chuckle as it looks about ready to fall apart but I can't help but want to ride it. lol

That is a very well engineered coaster, I love how perfectly timed the steep drops are. Someone has done the math.

That Halloween walkthrough is the scariest one IMO. Especially if the group you are with make you go first and you can't see a thing! You're right though with the MT - multiple lift hills are rubbish. (opinion from this one coaster)

That looks great fun...

wow what a strange coaster...

I found a link that everyone must go to and watch the video near the bottom of the page. It just shows how cheesy some Theme park adverts can be... (Related to Spikes weird coaster ;))

Not exactly strange, but unusual I suppose, but Steeplechase at Blackpool is one of the most unique coasters I've been on and was also great fun!

There is quite a good reason for the strange number of lift hills though, which im sure you either know or will find of you look hard enough :)

Erm, the only thing i can think is what goes up must come down...apart from that i have no idea, especially in between lift 2 and 3 where the ride goes thru brakes(slows down!!) then up to go along and round a little bit of track that perhaps without the lift the train might of manged its self...

The other reason i can thin of is so more trains can get on track but thats still no excuse for that 2nd-3rd pointless bit...

was it any of those or have i missed something?

I read somewhere that on El Diablo between lift hills 2 and 3 there was supposed to be another section of track that couldn't be done in the end?

that is a rather strange coaster though to be fair.

Well... lol
This is the story I heard from a couple of sources and does make sense.
But I hold no responsibility if this turns out to be rubbish :)

Apparently Arrow were lined up to build 2 coasters for the new park, El Diablo and a 2nd bigger one at the back of the park, plans were drawn up and construction was started on El Diablo with it being in the middle of the park and other attractions and areas needed to be built round it, with the major coaster at the back being less of a priority due to its easily accessible site.

When construction was part way through on El Diablo the park management had a rethink on the back of the park and having seen B&Ms coasters decided to change it to having one of those (Dragon Khan) in the space that was origionally to be taken up by the Arrow coaster.

Arrow took issue to this as it would obviously mean their major ride in the park would no longer happen and they would miss out on a huge profit to be had. As part of their protest they stopped building El Diablo leaving a partially finished ride in the centre of the park.

Park management prompted took issues up with them legally and Arrow was ordered to complete El Diablo as a fully operating coaster, but the full origional designs were not to be followed, hence what should of been an extra third to the ride became a corner and a brake run between 2 lift hills.

Take from that you what you will but that appears to be the proceedings.

I'm surprised Euromir hasnt been mentioned here, such a bizarre coaster which i love to peices!

The lift hill is probably the weirdest thing about it! But still.... its very odd.
