So why not? Thorpe's thread has one, Alton's probably has one, so why don't we discuss the world of adventures merchandise?
Hoping I can avoid the embarrassment like when I started a TP one when there was an existing... well I have checked this time

Anyone else fancy petitioning Merlin for a return of MR BURPS Bubbleworks.
The Bubbleworks is in desperate need of redoing and the Imperial leather theming never made much sense (it lost so many of the jokes) especially when imperial leather backed out.
Bring Back Mr Burp!!!

Visited Chessington's Hall'o'ween event for the first time yesterday (Sunday 26th October 2014). Quite impressed with the event in general with a good scattering on Halloween theming.
"The Haunting in the Hollows" was really good and quite scary for a family orientated theme park which I enjoyed (although I can't imagine this attraction would be great during the day). Acting was very good and the theming wasn't too bad either. Queue Time was approx. 20-30mins
"The Mystery of Hocus Pocus Hall" was OK too. More aimed at younger explorers but features an interesting introduction and well executed ended. We waiting approx. 1hr, Due to small groups and lots of fast tracks!!!
It's also worth noting there has been smoke and lasers added to Rameses Revenge. I've uploaded a short video of this to my Facebook page but low quality due to low light levels.

I visited Howl'o'ween on the same day, I was very impressed with how they executed it for families etc. There was a very good atmosphere around the park, even better than fright nights I would say. Haunting in the hollows is good considering it is designed for 8yr olds and upwards and I was also impressed with the amount of special lighting arounf the park. Wherever you looked there was some sort of cooiured stage lighting.

Back from Howl-o-ween... Great fun!
Lots of authentic lighting everywhere, especially at Rameses and Fury!
Hocus Pocus was fun, lots of kids enjoying it, enthusiastic actors and good theming!
Haunting was scary for what it is. I didn't expect the conga-line style. Although its obvious where all the scares will be, but they where still creepy!
8/10 for this event (based of off seasonal changes)

When I was on park on Saturday, several signs said "Something exciting is arriving at Chessington in 2015...".

I reckon its just the Madagascar re-theme, if there was a new ride, it would be under construction by now...

I know of 2 developments planned for 2015 ... the Madagascar re-theme and the refurbishment of Dragon Falls.
I reckon this is either Dragon Falls, or something different. I don't think it'll be the show.

We visited Howl 'o' ween a couple of times this year.
The park wide lighting was really good this year, a real improvement. That really is saying something as the standard is always high!
We liked the usual pumpkins etc, but feel more needs to be done with theming around the park really. It was a shame that the eyes that had been installed didn't really glow in the dark!
I really miss the roaming characters they used to have. The headless horseman and the story time with the Faun from a few years back were just amazing! Even the witches and spiders that used to crop up here and there, and the corn on the sides of the buildings in market square. Anything really!
Not all that much to say about the mazes. They were both much the same as last year and 'Haunting in the Hollows' is just fab!. I felt 'The mystery of Hocus Pocus Hall' to be lacking a little in storyline and atmosphere compared to last years version.
The new shows were not so good in my opinion though. My 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son found the 'Hairy Scary show' a bit too "babyish" and maybe it was for them? I didn't think it was anything very original myself, just a variation on the show that is there all year. I really thought my daughter would love the School of rock-esque show in market square, but she was bored after less than 10mins and we left!
The use of the music from TMOHPH all around the park got old pretty quickly, and in my opinion detracted from it's use in the attraction itself!
I really missed the old halloween music, and was very happy to hear it playing in the burger kitchen! Bring it back across the park!!!
Riding in the dark was fab as always; with special note to Ramses Revenge's lasers and movie score soundtrack! I have to say that the Scorpion express's fire effect in the dark was brilliant too!
I really hope they put a bit more effort in next year as it's usually a brilliant event. It really needs another halloween maze/walkthrough and a bit more going on around park to improve the atmosphere.

Full details of Chessington World of Adventures Resort’s plans to expand and refurbish Penguin Cove for 2015 have been made available for the first time.
The refurbishment will see a transformation of the current penguin habitat, situated to the west of the Sealife Centre, including a new seating area, alterations to the public viewing areas, reconfiguration of the existing enclosure, and new entrance features.

One of the features of the new habitat will be a new seating area in the form of boat, providing a much improved viewing area for guests, including a fabric canopy providing shelter from the elements.

As part of the reconfiguration of the main enclosure new glass viewing panels will be installed on the west and east side of the enclosure, and new resin bound surfacing will be laid around the area to improve accessibility for all guests. The new entrance will feature two timber archways with hanging signs, which will compliment further new signage and artwork around the enclosure.
