I agree with hidden smilers.  :D (Im surprised no one madeva smiler smily yet)

It would add interest and fun. Folk go crazy for those hidden mickeys at Disney, AT should do similar, cheap costs for something that would please fans whilst promoting the brand, pushing the ride and helping to drive merch.

Slightly off topic but has any one else got nemesis withdrawals already? Roll on feb half term.

Back on topic(ish)....

Ive been going to the park for years yet never for an opening. SW7 im going to be there, so whats the deal. Is there usually a ceremony, cutting the ribbon how do they mark the special day? Do they open up early, are there MAP previews? What time does everyone plan on Getting there?

Sorry, lots of Qs and Mods, feel free  to move if  Ive strayed too much off topic.

You go and join the back of the queue of people who have probably camped over night as they have nothing better to do haha.

Cant remember what they did for Thirteen as i got there at 10ish, so they might open the park up earlier to get everyone in the queue but not open the ride until 10. There might be some contest winners that get to ride first

What they did for Thirteen was, they let everyone in, everyone went to Dark Forest in a reasonably orderly fashion (some more excitable than others) and got into the queueline safely and respectfully. Then the staff came along and emptied the queueline, pulling everyone back to the edge of Dark Forest. Then Jonathan Ross and his family got taken in front of the crowd to get on the ride, the boo was quite something. Then they finally decided the crowd could move, it was a stampede, the staff had no control, and the hundreds of people who would have been in the queue without any trouble had been unnecessarily moved around and upset, because of awful organisation from AT.

The only word I can use to describe it is a clusterf*ck. Hopefully SW7's opening won't be one.

I agree, looks more of a vampire than the logo.

I don't think that 'The Inoculator' is the name of the ride. It could be the name of the 'world beating' element of the ride?

The Inoculator is such a terrible name, I doubt they'd use the word 'the' before any Alton Towers major coaster - it just doesn't make it seem as in iconic and SW7 looks to be the most iconic roller coaster at Alton Towers ever.

Yeah I'm not sure it sounds like a name either, maybe if it was just 'Inoculator' then it would work better  :) Plus for some reason anything with 'or' on the end annoys me, don't have a clue why just does haha

If you remember months back, TowersTimes revealed what they BELIEVED to be the secret element: is it most likely the theory is right or could it be something different?
Benjsh

People read far too much into the marketing. It's embarrassing. It's just meant to create hype which it's been very successful at. People are going insane and torturing themselves over things that aren't even confirmed yet.

Neither, Smiler or Inoculator will be the name of the attraction. I'm sure they will both link in with it in some shape or form though....that much is pretty obvious. But I can't see them being the name of the ride.

Remember Thir13en? Who guessed that name? NOBODY! Most people were convinced that it was called 'Surrender' for months as that word kept appearing on the marketing. And all it turned out to be in the end was a tag line.....'surrender to the dark forest'.

It feels like the official announcement is imminent anyway. The marketing is really hotting up, so it's only a matter of time until everyone is put out of their misery.
