I can completely echo what Alex said, Nemesis@20 was my first meet and everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the whole day is just awesome. They're so much fun I've got all of the events in the diary alreadyAlex wrote:I cant recommend coming to meets highly enough, they have definitely been my best ever visits to theme parks!

It's £15 for an event ticket and £24 for an admission ticket, which you will need if you don't have an annual pass of any sort. If you're thinking about staying somewhere around Thorpe Park, accommodation is up to you to find, so we don't provide a quote for it.
Most other details are covered in the first post of this topic, but an itinerary will be released closer to the 17th May.

As far as i'm aware there isn't any plans for the evening yet. As for the hotel, people are staying all over the place. Some in the Travelodge, some in the Thorpe shark, some in the Mercure, some aren't staying and i am pretty sure others are staying else where.dropkick10 wrote:Booked my place last Tuesday.
Notice people are staying overnight. What everyones plans for the evening? Where have people decided to stay?

There will definitely be some element of a social in the evening. What that is will be dependant on our park exit time. We'll let you know slightly closer to the time, however I'd imagine we will meet up after park close in the main Thorpe bar for one or two

Just to let you all know that it appears the Thorpe Shark has sold out of rooms. All booked into Travelodge!

*IMPORTANT UPDATE*
Corporate rate tickets for theme park entry need to be ordered so the cut off for buying them is the 11th May, this only applies to the £24 park entry tickets. The £15 event ticket sales will stay open until the 15th May.

The T shirts are similar in design to the team fleeces that were worn at the last event.
As posted yesterday on social media, we have a special surprise for the evening that Thorpe have kindly agreed to. Feel free to speculate

With less than a week to go until our exciting SouthParks Southern Screamer Event at Thorpe Park, it's time we announced the plans surrounding either side of the event.
Everyone is welcome to all of the below activities even if you're not staying over or attending the event. If you've never been to a social/event before, we promise that you'll feel both welcome and comfortable, and within half an hour you'll be wondering what you were fussing about. If you have any issues or questions, please post a reply below or feel free to send a team member a PM. Contact details will be given out a few days before the event, so if you do get lost you can always contact us.
So, without further ado.
Friday
With many people arriving the night before and staying primarily in the Staines area, we'll be hosting an informal gathering in the Wetherspoons from 8.30pm onwards. People are welcome to eat, have a drink or two and catch up with old and new friends. If you've never been to a meet before and are staying over on the Friday night, then this evening will be a great way to dip your toe in before the big event.
Saturday
Our event is scheduled to finish by 8pm.
We'll meet in 360 Bar and Grill (based in The Dome) as the event begins to come to a close where you'll be able to mingle and socialise with everyone from the day. The social element will be somewhat different than our usual Alton Towers Events as Thorpe Park doesn't have the hotel with its bars. We plan to meet once again at Wetherspoons in Staines at approximately 9pm, giving people the chance to travel to Staines. There is no set plan for the evening, and it is likely we'll move on elsewhere. For those unaware, Staines is roughly 10 minutes away by car, or less than £10 in a local taxi. There will be people with spare seats in peoples cars, but please ask in advance.
Sunday
Chessington World Of Adventures.
We'll be meeting by the Sea Lions at 10am and then enjoying some John Wardley magic in park.
The small bit: TowersTimes takes no responsibility for those at our events or associated socials. Please ensure you keep your conduct in line with the venues policies including age. For legal reasons the TowersTimes Team can not take responsibility for members under the age of 16 in any establishment who require an adult present. Please drink responsibly. TowersTimes also takes no responsibility for embarrassment or harm caused by the team dance during the course of the evening. If you read all the way to here, we're proud of you!
