That's fair... I'm just glad that nobody said "I thought I was going to die" whilst being 10ft above the ground. Honestly, my 11yr old sister could write better stuff that the Mirror, and that says a lot

Definitely best to just ignore the rags. I am amazed at how paranoid the mirror has become: Of all the red tops it used to be about the best in terms of opinion but it seems to be having a bad trip atm.

If you remain aware of the slant every paper puts on their stories it can be quite eye opening reading the same stuff across multiple papers.

The BBC are about as impartial as you will get from a major broadcaster, not that any hard right wingers believe that, but in terms of content they're generally good.

Anyway I did like the report in the financial times speaking to Nick Varney, despite the financial dip it seemed very hopeful and interesting.

They just reported the losses and quoted Varney remarkably restrained for the express lol

The Mirror will not leave this alone. Alton Towers just need to ride out this storm and continue providing the great experiences we know they can deliver. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/al ... es-6165156" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The mirror's sales most probably drop by quite a lot when The Sun runs the Alton Towers free tickets give away. So they are most likely trying to make most out of this story, trying to make as many people as possible think it is unsafe so they don't want to go to Alton Towers even for free so won't switch to buying The Sun instead of The Mirror.

Not sure what to think of this:

I assume they just looked for particularly quiet times and areas and made a fuss out of it. It was actually the top story on the Daily Mail news site when I looked, clearly a quiet day for them

I doubt it to be honest, they said that they were there all day, pretty obviously empty. However, notice how they didn't show or mention CBeebies land, that's been busy recently, I believe.

cbeebies is still thriving but the 2 saturdays just gone have been pretty much been the exact same in that article across the rest of the park. May go tomorrow and expecting another quiet day tbh.

Of course the idiots at The Mirror did an article similar to the mails but bias! That's The Mirror's way!

They aren't even decent enough to get pictures of their own, they got the majority of the pictures off the daily mail, with the rest off google images...

I keep going back to it but the comments on the articles on Facebook are amazing. Almost unanimous support for AT. That alone gives me hope

While I agree the BBC don't tend to over sensationalise and stick to the facts, there is always the idea that they have been fair only because of their association via cbeeies land.

Other than that, I find it amusing how The Mirror made an article about "Alton Towers losing profits" and being a "Ghost Town"

This is getting beyond stupid now, the mirror made an article about how Vicky said she was going back to Ibiza, then repeated the whole story again. The victims themselves have said that they don't want it constantly being brung up, and this is just getting ridiculous...

Wow, they are really trying to bash Alton Towers. What the hell is wrong with the telegraph
