They don't report their preliminary results for this full financial year until the end of February, so that article must be referring to a full calendar year. The report is available here, which basically says they're expecting full year results to be in line with their expectations, with profit levels similar to last year.Andy Mc wrote:Today will be the full year trading update from Merlin apparently: http://bit.ly/1NkdyeW" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Quick closed season update for you guys. Some pics of The Smiler, for those hoping for a re-paint or some visual adjustments....she still looks very old and rusty. Few shots of Air and surrounding area's, as you will see the front of the old air shop appears to have exposed steel works, some of which I posted pics of a few weeks ago. I'm not sure so thought I'd post it anyway air appears to have gone Black at the turn after the lift hill. And Ripsaw appears to be having some work done (potentially its routine winter maintenance) but looks a bit off colour than usual. No other note worthy action visible around park.
Oh and for anyone who ever wondered what the blasters on battle galleons look like without there guns on...turns out its just a hose

Just had a look at the website and the ride list at the bottom has been altered as well. No flume no blade no ripsaw no subterror no hex no enterprise no river rapids.
Don't know if its just my computer?

Had a wee look there and I had to go to "see more" on the "Rides" drop down tab and they still have the rides you mention listed.
Also noticed the 2016 opening times for Alton Towers and it looks very very dark for the resort. Hopefully this doesn't put any holds on the future projects coming to the Park.

I like the sound of ‘Towers Loving Care’. Just sad there's no new flats.
Also, new coffee shop? This is not an attraction! I don't even drink coffee! And who goes into restaurants at a theme park? I eat on the way to the next ride from my big bag of snacks
