Wednesday is looking a really rubbish day to go... horrendous weather forecast. Please tell me it won't be terrible and that everything will be shut :(

I'm going this Wednesday too.

So unlucky with the weather but I think I am correct in that heavy rain wont close the rides. Can someone else confirm this though please?
Danny

The only effect that rain has on the rides is that Sonic Spinball runs at a reduced capacity of three people per car, as opposed to the normal four. The rest shall remain open and operating normally :)

This does however depend on the extent of the heaviness of the rain or what effect the rain may have on the atmosphere as this can cause oblivion to temporarily close, air and Rita do have a warning saying the rain may cause this ride to become uncomfortable but does not close

I think you may be taking the audio a bit too seriously! ;)

The smiler could be affected, it's a tough one to judge, if the rain heavy it could be with the issues of flooding they've had recently no one really could say for certain I am however aware they've been aiming to fix this issue no one could say if it's completely resolved so go with the that thought in mind but I hope it's all good for you :)

Apparently The Smiler is closed today... not sure if it's scheduled maintenance etc. :/

As the 2013 season is now sadly over, I'm going to lock this topic and unsticky it.

Keep tuned for the 2014 topic :)

I don't want to be pedantic ILC but Air does technically go "upside down" 3 times :)

I said this when I was given the nickname, but they wouldn't listen...

Although, I thought it was 2 times.

I could be wrong but I think the fly-to-lie and lie-to-fly count as seperate inversions :)

It's generally accepted that it has two inversions. Fly-to-lie and lie-to-fly are effectively coming in and out of the same inversion, with you only being turned onto your back once during the element.
