New Website For AT

Hello All,

I visited the website yesterday at around 2 - 2.30pm and there was a brand new design etc

I couldn't get a screen shot because I was on the works computer but when i logged on to my personal one it had gone back got the current one

Has anyone else seen this I remember the old one before this one it did it before they opened for half term

Very possible a new design was being tested. It's always around this time of year that new designs are implemented, ready for Febuary half term

Unless its something else we've not noticed, it's actually not a new design for the website.

They have changed and updated the SW7 page, which does look fantastic tbh.... Take a look if you've not seen it.

However they have taken away the countdown timer for the March 16th opening and indeed any mention of a march opening on that page.


The March 16th date is still advertised on some other pages on the website.

Other than that, the rest of the website is the same as it was before yesterday.

It's highly likely a new site will be launching soon as the park typically refresh the site design completely every two years.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on http://altontowers.headland.co.uk/ - Headland do most of Alton Towers digital work, and when the current site design launched it was initially a redirect to that URL.

Exactly.... There won't be a new design just yet as I'm sure what Flinstones has actually seen is The SW7 page with its new update.

It seems the marketing campaign for SW7/resort will kick off on television this weekend... so I'd say a new website will launch next week at the latest to support the campaign.

It will be on various channels multiple times. Just keep an eye out for it. Digital channels that target teen markets, like E4 will probably show it more frequently.

Even if you can't have Twitter, you can check the site A few people seemed to have asked with no response so far.
