Hey guys,
I've recently seen a topic like this set up for Thorpe, and wondered what everyone thought was Alton's best and worst queue lines.
Personally I think Rita is the worst (since they ditched the music for the re-theme) mainly due to the cattle pens.
I think the best would have to be nemesis (just to watch it!) or the new ice age cinema, where they show clips of scrat.

Yeah, Nemmy has a great queue, and I've always loved the Runaway Mine Train queue-line as well. I'm not even sure why, it just seems to bring back memories of magic! Likewise with the Rapids.

Rita and Th13teen are definitely the two worst. The latter's indoor tesla section gives it a bonus point, but their both horrible outside cattle pens. The fact that Rita heavily interacts with Th13teen's queue just confuses the theme.

Was about to make this topic but oblivion is my fav,the tension from the videos and other people is immense,Rita is definitely the worst just before 13 because of some of the theming

Rita definatly is the worst (I would say th13teen but I have never actually waited in the proper queue line as its single riders is unbelievably quick! got on with my friend 1 time to!) but yeah Rita has 0 themeing in the queue line as it dosent really have a story! Nemesis is my favourite :)

I know I will probably be killed for saying this but TH13TEEN in my mind is the best. I love how it is in the forest, no it doesn't have much themeing but the atmosphere is great! Nemesis queue is also one of my favourites as it really builds up the tension before riding. I like Hex's queue line as well, it has a poor layout but the themeing is some of the best on park!

Nemesis Sub Terra and Rita have the worst. I don't understand why nemesis sub terra would go from metal fencing to wood it really spoils the feeling, and rita is just be designed by a 2 year old. No structure and no themeing!

Air. I like blue track and bridges. It has both.

You cant blame it for no themeing though as it never had a story in the first place! the radio for ug land was good like stealth but there is literally nothing now!

Best: Battle Galleons
Reason: The walk to the ride is part of the experience, as it is well themed and get a good soaking
Worst: Nemesis Sub Tera
Reason: It is so BORING, even though video's are showing you can't even see them on a sunny day, it would have been much better if it was indoors and had some kind of theming relating to Sub Tera

I would have to say Oblivion for worst. So much more could have been done with that queue, and the constant repeat of footage on the TV's eventually gets on my nerves.

Best queue? Still the classic Duel/Haunted House for me.

Quick question on Duel, do they still have the themed queue through the graveyard? The only reason I ask is I have not had to queue for the ride since about 1996!!! I always loved that part, very Disney!

Yes they do,although it is hardly ever used because Duel is a throughput giant.

Best queue is easily Duel, it creates a great atmosphere and even causes some people to leave the queue before they've even got onto the ride!
Worst queue is definately Rita; it moves SO slowly.

I think that the oblivion queue has the most potential. There is so much room of interactive features. The ride is based in the X - Sector which is very futuristic. So why don't they have touch screens to explain about oblivion and what happens and what it will do to your body, like the videos explain but more interactive.

I'm surprised Hex hasn't appeared more in this thread, surely the best themed queue at least? Nice queue line video as well. Infact it's a shame you don't spend more time in there now that Hex never seems to have much of a queue. If not Hex then Nemesis or Duel.

Worst has to be Rita, not only is it a massive boring cattlepen but for some reason Rita always has the longest queue times when I visit. Air's queue is fairly mundane too, atleast you get a good view of the ride though.

TH13TEENS queue gets better year on year imo. I just hope they don't start felling trees for health and safety or whatever. My only gripe would be that the paving is very uneven and causes lots of massive puddles when it rains...

Th123885942972teen's queue seems to just be a wooden cattle pen to me.

I'd have to agree with what was said above, the Battle Galleons queue is one of the best! I completely forgot about it.
