What would you do?
Can be anything, rides, marketing etc

1. I would get a 'chav detector' for the front gate, you'd walk through it, and if you are detected as a chav, you'd get teleported to Thorpe!

2. Have a 'Granparents day'. All rides would be fitted with stair lifts, the monorail replaced with them like, chair motor things, and anyone at the park would have to dress like a old person, and be accomponied by an over 65. (As like, a joke thing)

3. Make a new ride... for pets!

4. Be able to 'earn' rides day, washing the staff's cars would earn you a ride on Blivy, Picking litter would earn you a ride on Nemesis, etc etc. (publisity stunt)

5. A ride where you have to escape from Chavs. It would be especially for scarefest, of course.

Introduce a tiered ticket system, so that certain visitors could go round the Gardens and Towers without paying full price.

1) Create the ambience of what Alton used to have, which would include permanent lighting around the park.

2) Create new Parades and shows, possibly on the lake.

3) Introduce a Major event for Halloween, possibly change the date of the fireworks to NYE!

4) Have a better ranking system for staff to progress higher into the park.

5) Keep the fastrack system currently however introduce SW7 with a Disney free fastrack system, that way Disney could no longer claim the only free fastrack theme park.

6) Try to open later so I could keep it open into the evenings more frequently, and have a special lighting display on the towers and the trees infront of the towers every evening, to the extent of a Disney 'candle celebration'

There is only two things I disagree with there, although I'm not too sure on the free fasttrack, maybe for some rides.

I would say a maximum closing time of 7pm from July-Aug, like it is in the Summer Hols. Any later and it's more money being spent on staff.

And Fireworks are ok, but I would still keep it's current date.

I would actually mean open the park later on in the day, to keep it open for the evening, or have special summer events late into the evening.

As for the fastrack you only need ONE ride to take the crown away from Disney! Something like Th13teen would not hurt!

I would possibly try to convert part of the towers into The Tower Dungeons! Just to simply do something with the building, that would benefit everyone!

I would make the park stay open until 8 from June to late September and until 10 in October. I would also retheme Air to fit in with Forbidden Valley and build a new water ride to replace The Flume.

The first thing i'd do is spend the millions required to get the park looking like it should.

New theming, ride repaints, refurbished entrance etc.

The only thing I would change assuming I was on the current budget they have is as someone else said above a free fast pass system in the exact same way Disney have. If money was no problem I would build rides that were more than a one trick pony. That opinion excludes Air and Nemesis btw

Do you actually know how those Swan Boats worked?

I am really intrigued, I know they operated on some sort of underwater pulley system but what on earth was that all about?

They were operated by thirteen pulleys spread around the lake. Each Swan Boat was attached to a cable, and this cable was attached to another cable which followed the route of the pulley system. I can't think of any simpler way to describe the system. In itself the system was very simple and worked brilliantly.

In fact, the Swan Boats system was installed by Intamin, it is the 'Tow Boat Ride', some info can be found on the Intamin Website.

Paint Rita's track green/black to try and make it blend in with the dark forest area more. Ban any travellers (gypo's) because they cause utter havoc.

Make Hex louder and build in some decent HQ speakers.
